Misti, where are you? I hope everything's ok, I haven't seen you around here for a bit. Hopefully, you're just busy and out and about. You're the one who got me started hula hooping again.
I love this hoop. I can do a whole song now, and the only reason I have to stop and take a break is because I get winded. Right now, this is aerobic exercise for me.

Still, it is a blast, and I try to do about 4-5 songs a day, just spread out over 40 minutes. Usually, I do some walking or dancing inbetween, just to keep myself going. I recommend fast music- I was listening to The Carpenters song "Solitaire" on the TV, and let's just say, that song didn't help my rythym one bit.

Thank goodness cable has all those different music stations on, as I get bored working out to just my CD's- not enough variety in my music but it's a cheaper alternative to buying more CD's, seeing that we're paying for the cable anyway.
How are my fellow hula hoopers doing? Everyone making progress, or do you feel like flinging that hoop into a dumpster?
I'm waiting for our "Skip Its" to arrive- I ordered the six pack of them, as the kids all want to do them as well as myself. Hopefully, they'll arrive before tommorrow, so I can surprise them with them when they get home from summer camp (they have no idea that I ordered them). My oldest daughter was talking about how much she missed doing her old skip it, then I read about them on here a day later and decided to order them, as they are fun to do. Who knew that a lot of us would go back to playing childhood games to get in shape? All I know, is that I am having fun, and it helps keep the boredom at bay from doing the same exercise over and over again.
Rock on, Hula Hoopers!
