Just finished lunch and back to work UGH! At least while I was gone my manager realized that I needed help (yes doing the work of 2 people and things are starting to get freaky) so Director has approved at least getting me some temp help while we try and hire someone!

I am feeling a bit better altho my voice is a bit raspy today - popping sudafed and lozenges and trying to head off any further sickness. Tonight Rosh Hashanah starts (Jewish New year) so there shall be mucho feasting in the frouf home (starting with apples dipped in honey for a sweet year - YUM!). Tomorrow kiddies and I shall go to synagogue - rain predicted for the whole weekend.

And my cruise buddy Andrea is the sweetest thing - not only did she provide me with a CD of all our cruise pics (she was the official photographer) but also presented with me an ALBUM! All cruise pics printed out in order, ribbon of course and a thank you card! I am having fun sharing it with my work buddies and will bring it home tonight!

Also getting other emails/pics from cruise buddies - Ray from Vegas has already booked another cruise (Oct 2007) and is trying to convince me to come along (no way can I make plans that far in advance YIKES!!!)...but it sure sounds nice! Besides I won't be able to last that long - will be hankering for some sunshine come January/February!

Yes, you were shaped to be special. I understand the two people in one concept. I work in a cube and it is hard. We have new people here too. The new gal is going through a bad D. She chatters none stop and is getting on my last nerve. She thinks she needs a man in her life and is living with one before the D is final yet she is worried her hubby will get custody of their 8 y.o. I tried to warn her. He hubby is an J.D. for goodness sakes. I think she is in for a rude awakening she was married for 19 years and was complaining how hard it was to live off of the 40,000/yr plus 3000 per month child support. I only make 33,000/yr. I really did not need to hear this "CR__ _" I hope the D get over with soon but I bet I have to hear all about this for the next 5 years. May be I can get her to change cubes.

i lost down to 173.0 this week. i didn't go to ww this week but this is what i weighed at the doctor's wed. i have been strictly op since so i know i don't weigh any more than that. i'm too lazy to get my ww booklet out to see what i weighed last fri but i know it was 173 point something so i had a small loss.

now, chickies. if you want to see camo clothes, i'm loaded. i have one outfit that makes me look like a bush.

I do love my cruise photo album Sandra - and just go another email from new cruise buddy Mike from chicago - it was his first cruise - he went solo - and sounds like he is now hooked! I obviously did a good job!

I have been feeling pretty apathetic about the eating thing since I got back, but it sure it time to get back on track and back on the treadmill too? We had a very big dinner tonight - complete w/chocolate cake (and it wasn't that good - only had a few bites!).

Warzone w/dd continues as she and dh are not on speaking terms - she is still whining about internet loss - tried to talk to her about her inappropriate behaviour and asked her to think of ways she could react in future - well that was like pulling teeth! Let her on compute for only 1.5 hours - so more crying about that! and why am I being so mean to her! geez! I am so tired of all of this it just makes me feel old! (ya like I'm a spring chicken in reality? ha ha ha).

kathy - send some warm weather our way - we are supposed to have rain all weekend. And something was screwy in my van - tried to put the heat on this week (our mornings/nights are already getting chilly) and no heat in sight - my car would turn into an icebox.

Dh brought it in today - seems there is an on/off heating switch somewhere in my engine which was turned off last time they did some work and never turned back on - well DUH! So now I have heat and $280 later I have completed my 48K maintenance check!

I really should go to bed early right?

Good Morning Chicks! I got up to go to the bathroom at 4:15 and couldn't go back to sleep. My brain started rushing through everything that is going on in my life and others dear to me. I stayed in bed until 5:00 and then just got up. I have severe PMS and I'm sure all the hormones aren't helping. Ahhhh....the life of a 50 year old!

Cassie goes in for her test on Monday morning and soon we'll know if she has Cushings. I really hope she doesn't because it's a hideous disease.

My Sister with the broken ankle is doing well and enjoying the flowers we sent. I must get out and get some cards for her to cheer her up. She's back to smoking again since she's home and proud that she's smoking less than 2 packs a day. Yikes! Nothing I say will change her.

The best news though is that my friend Cindy is eating real food and hopes to come home on Sunday or Monday! She said that the chicken breast and whipped potatoes and gravy were the best food she's ever eaten. How sad is that....hospital food no less! Her Nupagen shots are increasing her white blood cell count. We don't know about the leukemia for sure (only a bone marrow test is conclusive) but the blood tests are showing zero blast which means remission. She seems to be less weak....eating sure helped that as does some great white blood cells.

Jim's shoulder is still aching and so is my ankle. I guess I'll have to make an appointment for myself for next week. Sigh. At least it's not anything threatening so that means Life Is Good!

I'm off to see how chatty you all were last night.

Frouf, it's great news that your Manager has approved temporary help for you. Maybe that temp should stay for a while after your new person comes since you'll be spending time training the new person and will have less time available to do the real work. You are absolutely invited to the Chicago party and I'd be glad to make another apple cake. Seriously, the recipe was quite good. It made a 9 x 13 pan which was a bit much for just Jim and I. I cut into 12 pieces which were pretty large. I'm sure WW would have said that it was 18 servings. We are really enjoying it and will definitely make it again. Happy New Year! I hope you are feeling well enough to go to synagogue. It stinks that you're sick. You certainly sound like you have exactly what I did that required antibiotics and prescription cough medicine. It must be exciting to be getting cruise pictures and your gift from Andrea must have been a great and pleasant surprise. Are we going to see some of these pictures? Throw that CD in your computer and attach a couple of pictures to a message. I must see the Froufster!

Sandra, congratulations on yet another loss. You are SO close to the 160's and I remember when you were struggling to get into the 180's. I'm very proud of you and happy to know how great you must be feeling! I hope you enjoyed water aerobics last night.

Kathy, nothing like 90's here! You better make sure you bring a real coat in October as I'm sure you'll think it's cold. I guess Shaun isn't minding the weather since he's willing to stay here if it turns out that way. Of course, I'm sure the lure of downtown Chicago and the nightlife helps!

I was going to get up at 7:00 anyway this morning to do to the Kohl's early bird sale. The have my vacuum sealer bags 20% off and then an extra 15% off for the early bird part. I also have a pick a day sale coupon for another 15% off that I'm hoping they'll let me use also. Jim is asking me if I expect to get them for free. I said....sure!!!! I'm really hungry but I told Jim we would go out for breakfast after Kohl's. I guess I'll have to have a banana with my coffee while I get ready. I went to bed hungry last night which is unusual for me. I'm trying to master this eat only until satisfied concept especially while I'm unable to exercise.

I'll try to be back later. I'm sure I'll need a nap this afternoon. We've been invited to the Niece's for pasta and sirloing meatballs made by her DH. I'm bringing a box of ww angel hair and some apple cake. They'll all be eating strawberry torte so at least I'll have dessert too. I haven't seen baby Sarah in a while. My scale was 141.0 this morning; I was glad to see it. Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday I'll see the 139s again.

I need to get back to work but wanted to stop in for a minute.
