agutzg! Welcome to the group. I don't know much about the problems you have, but I agree that a bg monitor will help a lot with the bg readings so you know where you are on that. Carol Sue keeps up with some of the other things you mentioned so she is good at helping you with those things.
I woke up this morning and realized that I can take the info I got out of the LWB plan and apply it to my old Carbohydrate Addict's way of eating. I don't have to count carbs on CAD, but I could have my carbs at one meal and eat them within that hour Reward Meal. My other 2 meals could be carb free so to speak and I can eat those meals 5 hrs a part which will give my bg time to get down to normal between meals. I've learned that by waiting 5 hrs between meals that my blood sugar becomes almost normal. The theory behind CAD is to have only one insulin surge a day so that I can control my bg readings better.
Finally hit me this morning that if this is true, the reason the Atkins type low carb works so well for diabetics is that since you don't eat starchy carbs then you never should get that surge CAD allows you to have once a day. Interesting.
