What size are you now?

So, were you just wearing the wrong size bra or have you really put on 2 cups sizes?
  • I personally like my boobs dropped from 38D (was super tight!), to a 36DD (though the band is a bit too loose now, may have to drop down to 34DD)... I can squeeze now into a size 10 pants, was in a 16-18. Wear a size medium top when I was in a lg/xl. Here are some fun comparison shots. The first one is close to my heaviest weight. The second one is from this weekend at my friend's wedding.

    WOW you look amazing!!

Cup size is relative to chest size if you get measured correctly say at nordstrom etc. Ie: DD 34 boob is not as big as DD 36, does that make sense?

I didn't know this till I lost the weight and really wanted the correct bra size, I was shocked when they measured and told me but once I tried them
On, I realized they were correct.

    Just remembered I was actually a 36 D not C.
  • Quote: I am 5'7 and started IP at 230lbs. I was wearing a tight 16 pants and XL tops. The worst part was I carry my weight in front so I looked pregnant. I have now lost 40lbs and am wearing comfortable size 12 pants and loose L tops. My stomach looks relatively flat and I feel great! My bra size hasn't changed yet-I'm still in a 38DD but instead of over flowing I now have "breathing" room.

This is a very inspiring link-thanks Carla!
Reading back through old posts and I thought I would update this.

I am now wearing size 10 pants, M tops and a 36D bra. I've lost 56lbs and am absolutely amazed at how quickly my body is changing.
  • Quote: alright I was a size 10 jeans and now am sporting a size 4, might be 6 though due to gain of a few pounds over holidays but plan to make that 4 feel loose in a month or so.

tops were LARGE and now small or medium depending on what store I buy them from.

bra size was 36C and now 32DD.
I just wanted to let you know that I read all your old posts before I went to Vegas last week and that was how I concluded that I could have a few drinks in Vegas and stay in ketosis....which I did...was down 1 pound day I returned..next day down 1.5 more and today down another 1.6 pounds. Love this diet.

You look awesome. Amazing. Keep up the good work...I am plugging along.

To all the bigger on top girls....I too am well-endowed. I started as a size 40DDD...yesterday 36DD. I fit into medium tops in at least 10 different stores I went too....but that has to do with the amount I have lost in my arms and back...huge difference.

I am so happy for everyone this is such a great support group
  • Hi Everybody,

I started IP 6/24/10 at 202 lbs. I had just busted out of size 14 jeans and was wearing loose 16's, along with XL tops.

I just spent the last week completely gutting my closet of everything that is HUGE, old, outdated, gonna fit in that someday, etc. I'm giving two huge boxes to charity this weekend.

Now, 6 months after starting IP I am nearly to my goal weight of 135 and amazed at how clothes are fitting. I wear size 6-8 pants, and S-M tops - I haven't worn these sizes since high school nearly 30 years ago. Unfortunately, my chest once again resembles high school (sigh - past President of the IBTC), but at least they have cheater bras available now!

Congratulations to everybody on their successes!

That totally makes sense - especially knowing that you were a D not a C. Were you surprised that you still had bigger boobs? Or did you not expect them to go away? I actually find this quite comforting and reassuring to me to know that I am not prematurely seeking breast reduction. I've lost 8" off my bust line but nothing out of the cup!
  • Quote: I've lost 8" off my bust line but nothing out of the cup!

Same here. Lost 7" in the bust but the cup size is the same. Nothing but the flab there so DD is about as small as they're gonna get. I did find a good bra at Dillard's - Modern Movement "BFF Backsmoother", but I still dream of being a B!
  • I haven't started IP yet so I don't have any success stories to share - but thought I'd chime in. I had breast reduction surgery 10 years ago and it was the BEST thing I EVER did (starting IP excluded)

I'm only 5' tall; weighed 103lbs in High School and wore a 31D. When I had my surgery I had gained up to 150lbs but and was at least a 32DD - probably bigger but was in denial. That is a lot for a short gal. There was absolutely no space between my waist and my boobs!

I will warn you though - right after surgery you will feel like they've been completely cut off...but after several months things settle in nicely.

Can't wait to see how things 'settle in' once I get this extra weight off. Good Luck!
  • Well I need to say something about my size and the changes I am going through. For starters I started IP on November 3/2010 and I weighed 346 lbs at my heaviest I was 356 lbs since then I have lost 51 lbs. I don't have any problem with my breast size (lol) but my gut and waist size have shrunk.

My gut started out about the size of a beer keg and I am trying to get it down to a six pack but I have gone from size XXXL shirts to XXL shirts. I even tried on some of my old XL t-shirts the other day and I am happy to say I am almost there.

As for my waist I have gone from a size 48 pant down to a size 42 pant and I can almost wear a size 40.

I wear a uniform everyday and it is amazing I keep having to dig up old uniform parts because my old ones are to big to wear. I also have to shorten my duty belt almost once a week to make it smaller so it stays up.

    Wow!
  • Congratulations to everyone! It's really about size, isn't it?

    Here's mine:

From size 18 pants to size 10!
From 2X tops to Large, sometimes Medium!

This is great to hear! I have just started IP, 1st Weight in Tonight and my specs are the same that you started at. I am very hopefully that I can reach the same success that you have! Although I would like to keep most of what is in my bra!

    Thanks for the Inspiration!
  • Great Thread!
I started on Oct 24th at 162 lbs.,size 12 pants and mostly XL tops. 38D on top (was probably hedging towards a 40 but never "went" there :0)
I'm now wearing (at 135lbs) a med. top and size 6 or 8 pants depending on the cut and if they're petite or not. I tend to buy larger in petite.
I haven't bought a new bra and need one for sure, but I would imagine I'm back to a 36C.
    I"ll keep you posted.
