I am??? LOL I didn't mean to be... I thought it was just a discussion. Guess it is time for me to back out of the conversation.
  • Hello, I am Sarah this is my first time posting.I am currently new to the website.I am a SAHM and i also do interior design work on the side. I have a 2 year old and an 4 month old after i had my baby i was at my highest weight 175 and now im 136 hoping to reach 120. My DH and I are currently stationed in germany away from all my family. I'm just hoping to meet some more christian people because it just seems where we are at its like saddom and gamora. Everywhere i go in germany it just seems christians are being less looked upon and doing the right thing isnt good anymore so i just need some support to learn to deal with this.
  • Hi Sarah and welcome! Glad you joined in!!! Congratulations on all your weight loss... good for you! If you would like to share how you did it, I would love to hear and I know others would also!
  • Hi there!
Crk- hope you enjoyed St. Patricks day and are enjoying your visit to St. Louis, prayers for safety and fun as you travel.

Mavnan- Glad to hear that your house is almost repaired. pray everything comes together for you.
Wilma- Great news! no need for meds- Once your hair relaxes it should really be cute- I like curls better than straight flat hair. Like my own, but perms dry it out so bad, I pay a big price when I get one, end up cutting dead ends several times.
E.Z.- Wow! What a sight they won't know what hit them! Miss Kaylee is going with me, her 1st cruise. Its a family vacation. Me and her sister Kristie in a room, kaylee and her parents, my parents and my nephew, and a couple sets of close friends should be a great time. Nothing personal about you basketball, but I miss my shows I'm addicted. Want them back. We had corn beef cabbage carrots and taters and onions to yummy.
Pixie- won't be long and your puter will be back, congrasts on your wt. loss and your haircut sounds nice, probably a little cooler for the spring.
Beth- Exercise wow! You go girl!
Sarah- Welcome! It is a big sacrifice you and hubby are making- THANK YOU! I assume he is in the military, which part of military Is he in, keep posting we'll be here.
Dance- keep on moving girl, you be a twig! By the time of the cruise.
Well gotta run, time to get ready for work, see ya all later, going to Legislative Day at capital tom. where Christian's are made aware of up coming bills, that affect areas of beliefs- stem cell, abortion, taxing of churches ect. Where we can lobby the state senate and assembly on those upcoming bills passing or failing. God's blessings!
  • Sarah! This is a wonderful group of people and I'm sure you will find lots of support here!
  • Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed St. Paddy's Day! (These new smilies are great!) DH and I did the church activities, which were fun, and we took it easy otherwise. I watched some March Madness. Strange, I'm generally not into sports at all, but since I watched a b-ball game during my UNC visit, I'm sort of finding it fun. Happy to see that Duke and Florida had some weekend victories!! Patrick, the doggie, enjoyed his green treats very much. Gary, they weren't greenies. I had read your warning and heard about that elsewhere. These were just regular doggie crackers that happened to be green.

All ready for my WUStL visit - I leave tomorrow afternoon. When I went on my law school visit to UNC a couple of weeks ago, I got HOPELESSLY lost in Chapel Hill, so this time I'm going with a lot more maps!!! It's supposed to be really cold, even a bit snowy, up there, so it should be interesting. I can't wait to see the campus though!

Prayers and hugs for all of you! I probably won't be posting until I get back next week.

  • Hey thanks for the great welcome. My Dh is in the army. I am currently working out an hour a day i just recently found an exercise that burns 220 calories in 20 min its been great for me you put one foot on a second step of the stairs other one on the bottom while holding 3-5lb weights and you squat it works the thighs abs hips and booty. Once again thanks for the welcome

  • I'm still here
Just have been so frustrated with not getting anywhere with the weight and exercise. My own fault - and I need to get my head on straight to get going on this.

Went walking with hubby today - did 1 mile. Have also put on a pedometer so that I could have a record of steps walked today 2,000 steps gave me 1 mile today - which makes my total miles to date 14 - now if I can get in another 2,000 or more before bed I wil be able to update my 'ticker'

Have joined an online program called sparkspeople - can track my food and exercise there as well as a bunch of other things - so hopefully it will help keep me motivated somewhat also.

All this talk re cruises got me thinking - here I live in BC Canada and have never been on the Alaska cruise - so mentioned to my dear hubby that if I could lose between 75 - 100 pounds in the next 18 months how about a cruise - he said it wouldn't be his choice but he would go for it. So I am looking at losing this weight by my 60'th birthday (February 2008) and then go on the cruise.

Still working on the house trying to get it ready to sell. Bought the carpets for daughters bedroom and the spare bedroom. We are going to finish up painting the livingroom and kitchen this week then we will put down the carpets and then paint the bathroom (that room will take one day to do as it is small) and then the hardwood. Looking forward to being able to paint the basement by the 1st of April - it is a lot to paint but as it is all in the open all the furniture can be put to the middle of the room and still have lots of room to walk around to paint the walls. Then we paint the cement floor - and if all goes well by April 10 - when hubby starts holidays we will be listing the house and then if Lord is willing it will sell within the month as we are really now anxious to move - would like to be moved by September.

So if I am not here to much it could be because of the final touches of getting it up and ready to sale.

To all those that have just joined this wonderful group - welcome.
To those like me that have been missing in action - please do come back.
To those that have been so faithful - thanks we need your encouragement.
  • Thank you Gary, it's good to be back I tell you; I missed you guys<3. Yep, ours is always early around hear and you know what.. as soon as it started it got so cold!! I here it's even supposed to snow maybe tomorrow or the next day.. yay spring break. Maybe it'll be actually springish there when they have it. Really? Most guys I know like medium/long hair and I typically like medium hair anyway.. it just looks pretty and kept together (to me). How long is her hair? Tennis is fun.. just wish I could play good. Thank you, they are very interesting too! I loved it.. I read 68 chapters in one sitting and it took me over an hour to do so but I couldn't look away (my eyes were hurting after that). I am too, I've been reading my teen Bible (made for up to 15 year olds but I can't sit and comprehend the old English version very well) and it helps it explain things better to me. I do too. If I come across something like that I'll let ya know!

Marilyn, don't be frustrated about it.. just put it behind you and call it the past. God says don't worry about the past. Just look forward to a better future.

Thank you Sue, I hope they didn't forget about my comp. Have a good night.

I guess my body was just holding on at 238/237 because on Friday I jumped down to 235 and two days later I was 233 and today I was 232, weird but I don't mind. I'll be back tomorrow (sister is going on another trip for a last doctor's appointment for my nephew). Goodnight all.
  • Quick note here
Please take note of my 'tickers'
I have now been able to mark off 15 miles walked -- yeah

Also I was directed by a friend to check out a site called *********** - online diet program for FREE - good site everyone as it helps plan your meals, track your exercise and all.

Anyway, am doing well, getting in more exercise (walking ) and hopefully will soon see the weight come off.

One thing I have just learned - 30 minutes of walking is not enough for me to do - I am only buring 120 calories in that time and in order to make my goal for February 2007 I need to burn 334 calories per day - so I need to up my walking - which I started today - so watch me go guys - the weight will soon be dropping off.
  • hi there!
I am doing good- got Frankie's apt almost cleaned out. I have an apt. with the county today about payment for memorial service and burial costs. I had to fill out paperwork and now go petition for payment. Which they have no choice in but have to be pains about. They have a file a mile thick where I applied for assistance for him, but they have to investigate whether he had any $ of not. Red tape. yuck. Other than that all is well except my needing to get back on target. starting again today.
Christina- Enjoy your trip! Pray safety well traveling.
Sprout- Way Cool! Cruise for your b-day prayers that all the stress with house subsides that will probably help you attain your other goals- your doing awesome walking- keep up the great effort.
Pixie- Tim Lahaye the co-writer of the left behind series- has a prophecy bible that is footnoted with wonderful explanations and charts and stuff that assist explanation. There is also The living Bible which is wrote in today's laguage, I don't believe it is footnoted though. Congrats on lose of 6 lbs you go girl!!!
Hi to all other MIA'S catch ya all later!
  • I'm new
    Hi,
I'm new to this website. I am needing to lose weight really bad. I need some support.

  • Hi again.........sorry it has been a few days
I guess it is my turn again for car trouble. Actually, my husband's truck had to be taken in to have rear brakepads replaced and something about the rotors. Not sure. We have a really good mechanic who we trust that my dad started to go to a long time ago. Anyway, it is fairly minor. I had to drive my old car again for the first time in several months. A 92 Nissan Sentra that my son has been driving and oh yeah I guess I forgot to tell y'all last month on Valentines Day I got a Redondo Pearl Red Honda CRV. I am spoiled. I let my husband take it today though because he has a hard time getting out of the Nissan. I have to let him drive the new CRV every once in a while.

I went to my second Jazzercise class on Monday. It was fun. My knees, calves, and shins felt it though. I have a dentist appointment after work today, but will go again on Thursday.

sarahisaflower and myfitnessjourney Welcome to our group. Post often. We love to encourage each other. MFJ tell us more about yourself. We love to talk about our spouses or boyfriends, kids and family alot so feel free to jump right in there.

doitforme Good luck with all that paperwork you have to do. The government never makes anything easy. By the way, how was Legislative Day?

Marilyn Way to go on the walking. Just a thought....you said you were getting frustrated on the exercise and not seeing any results. Do you have a local group nearby that has exercise classes. Maybe something to change up the routine a bit? Or were you in a class before. I can't always remember old post. As much as I love walking in the park, I have to have variety or I get bored and discouraged too. .

Hillary Another 6 lbs? Yeah. My kids had spring break real early this year too. They were out the week of March 5th. I think that is too early. At least they have Good Friday off. Of course, they call it a teacher inservice day though. Their way around the religion/state separate balony. But we know better.

Christina Prayers for a safe trip. We will see you when you return.

Dance4joy, Gary, Wilma, Mavan and Everybody else Gotta run, will post more soon. Take care and God Bless.
  • Good Morning Everyone!
It's still cold up here but there's a smell of spring in the air. I can hardly wait for all this snow to disappear.

I've been doing well with my WOE but still struggling with the desire to exercise. I just need to get motivated to do something.

Beth: I'm glad to hear your vehicle troubles weren't too serious. It costs so much to fix those things. Glad to hear you're exercising. I'm the one that needs the boot out the door.

myfitnessjourney: Welcome here! You're going to find lots of support. Tell us more about yourself.

ditforme: That's a lot of work. It must be nice to have that behind you. It's too bad there's so much red tape to work through.

Sprout: WTG on the walking. You are my motivater. I need you to hop over those mountains and come here and get me moving!!

pixie" WTG on the weight loss. I would sit at one weight for a couple of weeks and then lose 3 the next. I could never figure it out but sure didn't complain when it came off.

Sara: Welcome here! That exercise sounds like it would be great for the butt muscles. I'll have to try it.

christina: How will you ever decide which school to go to? Have fun searching for the right one.

Gary: March madness has really got a hold on you. We never see you anymore.

You asked about my kids: The married ones are doing great - loving married life. The other one is doing a lot better too. He has a line on a couple jobs and has also been asked to help coach a AAA baseball team. He would love to do it but that depends on the job he finds. Please pray that he'll make the right decision.

Well, I'm going to be late for work so I better get going.

    Have a wonderful day!
  • Thank you, Wilma. It's weird to hear you talking about snow disappearing (to me) because here we only had snow for a day a couple months ago, that's what I am used too. It's been extra cold lately though.. I can't wait until it warms up either! It'll be sunny before you know it. I guess our bodies are similar in that way because I do that often like my body is trying to test me to see if I will continue through it. I know it's not but sometimes it sure does feel like it!

Beth, your new car sounds like a beauty. Take good care of it. I'm glad you had fun at your Jazzercise class. Sounds like my kind of exercise. Wow that is a little too early!.. at least it turns spring on our break *shakes head*.
I dislike it when I hear it called that, but I do apperciate that our school is calling it Good Friday and that is the reason we are out.

Thank you for telling me Sue! That sounds like what I was looking for. I considered buying -- I think it's called -- The New International? That can't be right. It started with an I. I think once I get some money I will see which one I want to buy because I know then I will be reading it a lot more (and understanding what I am reading -- I do like to understand).

Congrats to you Marilyn on the exercise! I knew you could do it. Keep it up!

Welcome to all the new people! I'll be back later<3. Have a great night.
