  • merowi2: You're at a bad place for the moment. I find it hard at that place to even imagine how I'm going to get to a better one. And, then, I'm always amazed at how fast I do feel better -- one healthy decision is enough to reset my mindset so that I think of myself as healthy and getting healthier. Do you have a realistic food plan to follow? That makes all the difference to me. "Don't binge" isn't enough of a plan to get me moving in a positive direction. I need to put that energy into washing vegetables and making salads that I enjoy and planning suppers that are healthy and light.
    BTW, I'm a big believer in women boldly going out in their bathing suits. No one is worried about how I look in mine because they are all worried about how they look in theirs. And, really, we'd all have a lot more fun at the pool (and model that for our children) if we just enjoyed the water.

    great job BelovedWarrior and merowi2 you are both so close to new decades!

    Ronja I honestly can't remember if it was this thread we were talking about bf and how it affects things and I am actually that tired I can't go look! lol. Anyway with my first I had a very hard time losing weight the first year and with my second not as much. But there were so many differences. My first NEVER slept so I was severely sleep deprived which always increases my hunger. I had an emergency c and gest diabetes, which made my recovery pretty slow. And my second not only slept better, but I was able to exercise through the pregnancy and had a VBAC and was back to gentle workouts in like 2-3 weeks. Ironically despite being benched all of my first pregnancy, starting 10 lbs lighter and running 20 mpw all the way up to wk 34 with my second I was EXACTLY the same weight the day I went in to labor. And if you overlay my pregnancy weight gain curves they are exactly the same, week to week. I was just pregnant 4 weeks longer the second time.

    I think it was mostly the sleep, as soon as she started sleeping at about a year, I started losing weight.
