Put in what you've lost and it'll give you a comparison. I've lost what equals to a 100 lb person on the moon. Dang gravity! Why can't it be that here! What I aim to lose overall is akin to a 2 month old horse and a small bale of hay! That could be daunting but with IP, I know I can do it!
  • Quote: PS - Lisa, you look fabulous in your picture and I covet those collarbones! Can't wait till I have my own again! LOL
    Awe shucks. Aren't you sweet
  • Quote: You're welcome! If you think it would help, feel free to sticky it along with the other "stickies". I don't know why I hadn't posted it before.
I vote for that too. I have been searching for this info as I have numerous friends and family following the program who wanted this info so I have now copied it and sent to them. Thanks for sharing!
  • Hello to eveyone. First time poster but long time reader. I started IP October 9 2014. I have been 100% OP and am happy to say that to date have lost 51lbs. So good to say that I lost over winter instead of gaining.

When "the poor me" thoughts would hit me I would come and read everyones post. I learned real fast that I was not the only one with these thoughts and that helped so much. Seemed like every issue I was having I would find the answer here.

Reading the post became my afternoon snack. By the time I finished reading I had drank 32 oz of water and it was time to make dinner.

Whenever I had a craving I would tell DH " Going to visit with the girls" and before long the craving was gone.

When the post started about the couch to 25k I decided to give it a try. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised that I could jog. Dont think I will set and records but I am having fun.

I would like to say Thank you to everyone. You all helped without even knowing me.

    YEEEEEEEEEEEAH! Look at you go!!!
  • Sick came home from work with a temperature over 100. Ugh. Wish it was something stomach related though as I am hungry but lack the energy to cook much (not doing packets). guess its scrambled eggs and broth for a couple days. I am also bloated
  • Knuckled down to a P1 compliant IP alternatives this morning, after my planned 5 day break while my brother-in-law was visiting from England.

Only gained 6lbs (which I'm sure is glycogen store replenishment and some water retention) so I'm happy.

It was an interesting experiment, and I learned a lot about how much my tastebuds truly have changed, and how much more comfortable my body is in ketosis. Two hours after my first "carb meal" I had gas, bloating, indigestion and a general feeling of "heaviness". My ankles became swollen on Day 3, despite drinking the same amount of water, and have only just gone down today. Exercise has been much lighter (hiked Carlsbad Caverns and did a couple of slow walks - difficult for a sea level dweller coming to 4100 feet to cope with the increased pressure on the lungs) so I'm looking forward to getting back to "normal" in the next week. Talk about taking feeling good in ketosis for granted. It is certainly help point me towards a low carb future, that's for sure.

Feel better, Beth. Keep that fluid intake up and hope it passes soon.

Woo hoo - congratulations!! That's a great feeling!!
  • Just wrapping up week 3! 11.8 lbs down! I feel great except for having awful allergies. Struggling with no appetite due to not being able to fully taste! May try to make some soup to get through!

Love reading all the posts daily!
