It's ususally somewhere between day 3-5, though every body is different. You may or may not actually "notice" anything, beyond when you actually step on the scale and see the pounds gone
  • Yay, so many new people!! Lots of good stories too, I love sharing our trials and successes.

I was traveling again for work yesterday. The team I went with all went out for lunch but I stayed at the office and worked as I brought my lunch with me. I felt a bit bad, but hopefully the scale this week will cheer me up!

I'm thinking I'm going to stock up a bit on boxes this week. I was only buying 3 a week, but I've been getting tired of eating the same thing everyday, so I'll likely buy some extras to mix it up a bit. The RTD Chocolate drinks are for sure my favourite so far!!

Any big challenges for the weekend??
  • Its my first weigh in today! Cant wait to see the results so far!
  • Morning all!! Today is day three and I feel really good! I said in another forum that I don't feel cranky or irritated like I usually do. Must be the lack of sugar. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
  • Good morning everyone! Tomorrow is my second weigh in, and I've done good to this point - no cheats. I eat a big salad every day for lunch, with tomato and cucumber, and I've been putting oil and vinegar on for the dressing.

Needless to say, I need some other kind of dressing. Has anyone found anything that tastes better to use for salad dressing?! I can't bear to eat another salad with olive oil and vinegar....
  • I would love some advice on that too, jackkatie. I am so tired of O&V! I've been doing lots of salads too, mostly with peppers, cukes, and celery. (Just make sure you don't have more than 4 cups of tomatoes per week!) Good luck at weigh in tomorrow, check back and let us know how it goes!

Have you tried any of the Walden Farms dressings? I'm interested to hear if they are good...
  • While traveling in Europe, I learned to love oil and vinegar dressings. The trick is to flavor them. I add lemon juice, garlic, shallots, herbs and pepper. Sometimes Dijon mustard. Let it all marinate together in a jar. It's now my go to dressing all the time and conveniently works with IP!

On another note, I made a muffiny soufflé thing this morning with the apple oatmeal. It was delicious and very filling. Could become a staple for either breakfast or late night treat.

Thanks Teags! My home scale broke last night too. Haha, I guess I must have broke it. So the weigh in will be a surprise tomorrow

I usually only have a few slices on each salad, that way I can spread out the tomatoes.

As far as Walden Farms, I have read on other forums that the bacon ranch is the best...I'm getting to point of buying one. Anything other than O & V!! I don't eat many veggies, so salads are usually what do for my 4 cups.

Do you use EVOO or another kind of oil?
  • Day 3 for me and it sure is easier than day 2 was. The headache is gone. I am going to try making a waffle for lunch with the banana pudding mix.
I am really excited for those of you doing your first weigh ins. I think your results will encourage the rest of us!
  • Well, boo. My first WI was not very inspiring. Down only 2 lbs. My total body water actually went up a pound -- thought I'd at least lose water weight this first week! I have not cheated at all and have not even had any restricted items since the first couple of days. Only good news was that body fat went down over 3 lbs., so I guess ketosis has kicked in. Coach could not think of anything I was doing wrong, so will just have to be patient.

This next week is going to be challenging because I'll be traveling for part of it. I've stocked up on a bunch of boxes. By the way, for those looking for a change from homemade salad dressing, I tried the Walden Farms Blue Cheese dressing/dip with celery sticks today, and it was not bad, just a little watery, but did not have the icky vinegary taste that some others seem to. Will try on spinach salad tonight.

OK, moving forward, staying OP, and looking forward to next week!
  • 2 lbs is still 2lbs right Mimi47? Better down then up

Day 2 has been ok for me so far. I have 3/4 of my water in already, and I haven't had any cravings so thats a plus. Trying to figure out what I want for supper (hate deciding!) What are you all having for supper?
  • claustin --you are right. Thank you

Dinner will be (leftover) grilled chicken breast with cilantro chutney (like a pesto but no oil; was inspired by Chef Verati's video this morning), steamed veggies, and spinach/kale salad.

I put a beef roast with organic beef boulion, fresh mushroom and chopped turnip. When I came home just cooked up some cabbage to go with that. I will be good for three days, and I can just change the veggie, like tomorrow will cook some brocolli...I find when I am busy at work having the supper almost ready keeps me from munching bad bad things lol.....Monday made chicken and turnip in the slow cooker. One time i will make it adding different flavours, like some chopped tomatoes and basil...
