Morning everyone from snowy alaska. it warmed up and we had white out conditions,its still coming down and we allready have 9 inches. it beautiful esp when im snug inside looking out. im still not feeling 100% but getting there. i finished my grdd quilt for her xmas gift. id love to post a picture on facebook but shes on my list she reminded me this summer that shes the only grkid that has not got a big girl quilt. im making a set of pillows to go with and going to jazz them up with some bling with my bedazzeler. hoping your day is peaceful like new fallen snow. rosey ps i didnt realize that the calico squares had a patterened direction in them till i had it all put together. up close u cant see it but at a distance u can, but i wasnt about to tear it all apart and redo.im pleased with it anyways

Evening all...sitting here on the lania and shivering reading Rosie's weather. Neighbor is pretending it's chilly with his fire pit smoking ....at least not into our house, this time. I found the answer to no pain meds...Bourbon!. Yeah DH made me 2 old fashions and my nose is numb and knee doesn't hurt much. Cancel me okay I'm good.....

Got an email from an old friend that really jogged my memories. She had been to the Moravian Church in Bethlem Pa and was reminded of me. Gosh, can you imagine 100 girls singing the Morning Star Hymn while holding beewax candles in a hugh gold and white church. 55 years later and I can still sing the verses.

Gloomy/foggy/damp in my neck of the woods. Doctor gave me something to coat my esophogus (sp?) so I can take celebrex again. Helping a LOT with my aches and pains.

Next week my DD & SIL and I are planning a short trip to Manhattan to do Christmas stuff. I'm looking forward to it.

Good morning goldies,
We woke up this morning to very heavy rain. It went from 80 degrees yesterday to 50 today. We had a good time at the camp. I hunted Saturday morning and the hunter right next to me killed an 8 point. That's the way it goes. Sunday morning a doe and yearling ran by me.
Christmas is approaching fast. I woke up in a panic this morning. I still have more food to prepare. I baked the sausage and froze them. I was thinking this morning that I'm not going to make candy this year. If I would I would eat too much. Do yall think that would be a selfish thing to do? I just think I'm going to eat some of the things we are preparing why add more junk.

Carbie~I bet your countryside looks like a postcard. There is so much work in his field it wouldn't matter. He is a tech so they need him but they have no trucks yet. They ordered them. They have to equipt them with dark rooms and equipment. He is keeping in contact with them.

Karenfl~ don't get too loose and fall. Lol

Rosey~I'm sure your countryside looks like a postcard too. Would love a pic of that. I also love your quilt. Your grdd will be so proud im sure to have a big girl quilt.

Carbie - About 15 years ago I had some issues with overactive thyroid. I lost a lot of weight, even though I was eating like a horse. I was having hot flashes and rapid heart beat. I researched it online and by the time I went to the doctor I was pretty sure what it was, and I was right. He didn't do anything for it right off. He said to give it a little time and see if it corrected itself, and it did, in about a month. So I had these symptoms for about 3 months total. Since that time my THS has been in the 2.2-2.9 range. When I had this recent episode, I thought it might correct itself, but he put me on a low dose of synthroid right way, which I think he should have waited. I quit taking the synthroid. I know you're not supposed to do that without consulting your doctor, but I am starting to feel back to normal. I was starting to get diarrhea. I know that's a symptom of overactive. Also, the freezing cold spells are gone, too. I get my THS checked again on the 20th and we will see then if I'm right.

I saw pictures in the paper of your snow. We have not had any yet this year and that's unusual. I'm looking forward to it. I think it's beautiful and I no longer have to go out in it. I do hope those who do stay safe. It can be very treacherous when you have to travel.

Bobbi - I bet your property looks beautiful with the snow. Like a Christmas Card.

Hi everyone, thank you to Carbie, Glynne and the others who expressed their condolences for my cousin who passed away suddenly on Saturday. One of the worst parts is that she leaves behind two parents in their 80s who were totally dependent on her for drivin/cooking/shopping etc. I assume their son will have to get them placed in assisted living somewhere.

Carbie, I think you asked about Wonderslim. I get it from a company called Diet Direct and they have Wonderslim and other bariatric food items. I love everything I've tried so far! I can hardly wait to finish up my higher carb products so I can stick to the lower carb items.

I got off track this weekend...I think emotional eating. I'm back on track today!

hello all...just stopped to tell you the surgery is on. Have to leave the house at 5am and be at the hospital at 6am for 7:30 procedure. Should take 1/2 hr, recover another hour and I bet 6 hours for discharge papers....talk to you all tomorrow night. k3
