  • Need2lose2: Congratulations on your 2 lb weight loss!!! Woo-hoo!!!!
  • Ohh..I just say this..I want to do this. Hmm..The challenge started first week in June? I know I've lost 6 lbs. already then in that time frame. I would like to lose at least 10 more lbs by Labor Day. So we shall see!
  • Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a few off days toward the end of last week, but I still managed to do good in weightloss. Lost 4.6lbs although I think most of it was water weight since it was rather warm here this weekend and I was jugging the water as much as I could stand. Hope everyone has a good week!
  • Wow, Wyattsmama!!! That was awesome weight loss!!!

Gremlina: Welcome!!!! Good luck on your goal!!!
  • Doing a quick check in for my new WI. I am down 2 more lbs. Woo Hoo!
  • Hey challengers..well I lost this week…and I will take it…my new workout routine and really focusing on my points works!
  • Well I am down this week after going to the meeting last week and realizing I had gained 2.4lbs I knew it was time to get refocused so I knew I should come here for motivation! And guess what it worked I lost the 2.4 I gained over the 4 weeks I missed meetings! My goal this week a 2 pound loss! Everybody keep up the great work!
Exq: The mileage is very impressive at the park! I know I can't do that! Someday soon!
  • Mookie, Destinationbride and Hildy: Congratulations all you losers!!!! lol Great job!

I have learned that walking is something you build up too. Really for people who have never walked or are severely overweight, just starting and walking a mile can be a struggle. I think for me making small goals and continuing to extend them is what has worked for me. Now when I go to the park, I try to do 2/3's jogging and 1/3 walking. I do the Leslie Sansone video's when I can't get to the park and walk 6 miles in the morning to them. I try to do 6-9 miles a day. I'm waiting on the gym I joined to open in August so I can start to do some weight training.
Anyway, everyone keep up the good work.
I weigh in on Thursday, so I hope to see 1-2 pound loss myself.
This morning I fixed a pretty good breakfast bagel that I liked.
I call it an Italian breakfast bagal
1 plain Fleischers Carb trimmers bagel- 1pt (80 or 90 calories)
2 slices 2% american cheese- 2 points (not sure of calories)
2 thin slices tomato- 0 points
1 tsp parmesan cheese- 0 points
    salt, pepper and italian seasoning

    First toast the bagel lightly
Second on each bagel half take 1 of the slices of cheese and divide in 3 strips, place two of the strips on the bagel, then the slice of tomatoe, the other strip of cheese, small amt of salt pepper and italian seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon of parmeson. Broil under broiler until cheese is melted.
Tastes great and is about 3 points.
  • 7/7 = 345.0 lbs

  • Challenge
Well I have been maintaining over the last few weeks - not any significant loss (or gain for that matter)
I really need to get this body loosing weight again. Since I met my doctors goal for myself and maintained for 6 weeks - I just can't loose any more.
I really watched my points yesterday - ate 21 points - went to bed and my tummy was saying "feed me" I resisted and went to bed.

Today my dd is job shadowing with some nurses at the hospital where I work and I will take her to lunch - I am sure it will be Wendy's where I can get a salad or chili to keep the points low.

  • Osborn: Are you a nurse? What kind of floor do you work on? I work with developmentally delayed adults in the West Tennessee area. Very rewarding and I love it.
Well, at least you are maintaining and not gaining! Right now, I'd loved to be out of the obese range and in the overweight range. I'm trying to get out of these 180's.
Good luck and keep up the work.
  • I am actually in the Medical Staff Office - I am a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
It is a small rural hosptial and I know pretty much everyone very well. I always wanted to be a nurse but did not ever get the route done - Military, marriage, children came along and now I think 39 and soon to be 40 is too old to go to school for nursing (plus I can't afford to leave my job for a year or two to get my RN)
