  • Hey Gary!!!
  • Zechariah 3:1-4Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?" 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. 4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him." And to him He said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes."

Satan stands before God night and day accusing you, read how he accused Job.

When Satan accuses you and convinces you to feel condemned, and you start thinking bad thoughts about yourself, remember to capture the negative self-talk, it’s one of the vital steps in the healing process. You will not succeed until you learn to encourage yourself. Don’t ever put yourself down. If you are still doing it, you need to pray God will heal you. It is devastating and you will never find it encouraged in the Bible. Jesus never put Himself down, and He is our example.

I admit, over and over again, I have found it hard to ignore Satan, being overweight made me feel less valuable. I am so glad God cares about my spirit more than my body. The older I get the easier it becomes to capture my thoughts earlier. I used to dwell on them. Now as soon as I start to feel negative I have a song I sing a short chorus from a Don Francisco sang. It goes:

Praise the Lord, hallelue, I don’t care what the Devils going to do.
A word in faith is my sword and shield, Jesus is Lord of the way I feel.

You can use any song to get you back up. This one is for me! it is peppy, and I start dancing around, and being goofy, and in seconds, my negative emotions are under control and I am back to having the correct perspective.

How can you be a loser, if you’re saved? Your soul is not less precious to God because your outward appearance is not up to the worlds standards.

Read: Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not loose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” 17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding weight in of glory, 18while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

God places all value of you, in your spirit, not what is seen. The body is temporary. These trials are perfecting you and making your soul fuller, because of what your soul has gained in the process. We are being created day by day.
