  • Beautiful - I tend to retain water when I work out really hard. Just keep drinking your water, and it will come off soon, especially once your TOM is over!! Keep working hard and you'll be there soon!!
  • Lulu- That could be the culprit because I drink tons of water and I worked really hard last week.

  • Usually I weigh in on Tuesday mornings but since i have a day off today I figured why not?!! So I was aiming to reach 172 by this week and my scale read 171.8!!!!!!! Oh my goodness I am soooooooooooo thrilled!!!!!

    Beautiful9800-- I'm sure that the gain is only temporary, especially if you're exercising that much! The scale is a fickle thing.

    I woke up this morning and was down a pound to 173. I'd love to be in the 160s by February.
  • We're all getting close! Beautiful, between TOM and working out hard, it's almost definitely just water retention instead of an actual weight gain. I don't know about anyone else, but I drink water like crazy, yet during TOM I drink so much I'm fit to burst. I feel thirsty all the time, but my increase in water intake is not accompanied by an increase in trips to the bathroom. I've always had either a gain or very small losses around TOM, but it evens out the following week.

    I admire how much you work out! You'll get to the 160s fast!

    I'm happy this morning because even with the long weekend I stayed steady at 173. I had a blip of 172, but its ok I'll get there really soon (I hope).

  • I've been stalling, and letting my weight sit for weeks now. Some days I ate healthy but mostly I was eating total crap. This is not how I wanted my year to start out - but just because a few weeks in weren't great doesn't mean I can't get on the right "track" now - so thats my goal. I'm only a few lbs from the 160's and feeling "a little more comfortable" in my own shell...my goal is to be there by Feb 1st as well.
  • I was down to 171 but TOM bumped me straight up to 176

    Luckily it's just water weight so I'll just stop weighing myself for 3 more days and then I might just get out of the 170s by Feb!!! For surviving today... I get a dancing carrot!
  • Got away from 178 finally and got down to 176! Good job you guys getting down to 171 and 172.. I can't wait to see that!

  • I wish this week would go by faster so I could be at my Saturday weigh-in already! I'm impatient to know if I made the 160s yet, or if I'll have to weigh-in next Wednesday to see if I made it by my birthday deadline.

    I like this thread because I get to be excited for everyone else, too! With so many of us at 171/172, we may all hit the 160s together!

  • YAY for the losses!! Congrats ladies!

    I decided I need to make a hard and fast goal for getting out of the 170s. I'm in the Valentine's challenge to make it to 166 by Valentine's Day so I need to get on this. I'm setting myself a goal now to be out of the 170s by the weigh-in after next... that gives me a loss of a little more than 3lbs (I don't own a digital scale... the one I use has been tipping more toward 172, but hasn't settled on the line just yet). Wish me luck.
  • I'm still teetering between 172-173. It is TOM so I just have to be patient, but I DON'T WANT TO!!!!!

    Congrats to all of you that have had losses. It looks like a lot of us are all at the same weight. It's like a rat race to see who gets to the 160s first haha.
