  • Thank Goodness or I should have about 7 unjustified pounds!
According to BNWI at home this am I look like I might actually have a good loss.. would have loved to RUN to COD this morning to get that in my file but have to teach.. so another POP day today will hopefully net me the same tomorrow.. By the way Cassi.. it's been a yuckky week with bugs but I just noticed the 60lbs... CONGRATS!!!! Kim's DH will be sending you a necklace! I'm hoping to get my 50lbs in the next week or so too so we'll have to ask hime to buy two!
  • You are too funny! I'll just ask him to drop it off on their way to Jamaica.
  • I thought he could give it to us on the beach.. we're all coming too aren't we Kim???
  • 2 day POP for me! Here's to a 3rd..I'm going to COD tomorrow morning to see how much I've lost since Tues! Whoo! Can't wait!
Also, I use the True Lemon and True Lime and put it in my huge cup of ice water..does anyone else use those? I love 'em because they come in convienent packets so I can take them anywhere with me.
  • I havent seen those Jillian but sounds like a good idea. Lemon sure makes the water go down easier.
  • at walmart they're in the aisle with the sugar. they're right next to all the different kinds of sugar (boxes of sugar in the raw, sweet-n-low, etc.) you can check out their website too: www.truelemon.com
  • Thanks Jillian, I'll look for them next time I'm out!
  • Okay -- 2 days POP for me! At WI yesterday, I was up a pound. Are fluctuations normal?
  • Keep up the great work everyone!!!
    to another POP day.....
  • How did I miss this thread?? I'm sooo in on this one! I'm starting with a disadvantage since I wasn't POP on the 7th.. but yesterday I was.. so 1 day down! Woo Hoo!!
  • POP Since Wednesday.. My big loss at WI yesterday is keeping me motivated..

Have any of you tried those whole wheat flat bread roll ups they sell at WalMart in the deli-bakery area? They're like 50 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, 6 net carbs and lots of fiber.. They are bigger than our 1 starch tortilla serving, but have far fewer calories and such. I've forgotten their name...

I wonder, given their contents, if I could skate by counting them as 1 starch rather than 2...
  • Quote: You are too funny! I'll just ask him to drop it off on their way to Jamaica.
No Problem! we should be flying over your house around 9:30 am on Thursday - make sure you are outside to catch it! Sorry Kristen - we won't be flying past you unless something goes really wrong! But then again, it is Air Jamaica - they already changed our flight so that it leaves from Baltimore MD instead of Newark, NJ (which we were going to DRIVE to - can't be driving to MD) luckily we were able to grab a $49 flight out of Albany to Baltimore! Shhesh.

I could bring you guys, but I'm having a hard enough time scaling back on clothes to get to the 50lb bag limit!

PS - needless to say, not in this challenge - all POP bets end on Wednesday for me!
  • Dan - If they're the LaTortilla Factory tortillas, the whole thing counts as 1 starch. I even had the COD e-mail the dietician on it when I started LAWL.

    PS They're yummy w/tuna salad!
  • Well folks-sorry I haven't been on much the last couple of days-it's been a bit crazy! I had a whole long play-by-play on the receiving of my immigration form (stalking the mail lady, my mad dash down I-5, finding a notary, making it to the office 5 minutes before they closed and, after all that, ultimately missing the last FedEx express drop off), but I received some very horrible news this morning that makes it all seem insignificant.

One of the other families from our agency found out that their little girl died yesterday from pnemonia. There's a lot of sickness floating around the orphanges right now-and this is the 3rd baby to die this week, but the first from our agency. We have a newsgroup that we all post on-so we are all getting to know each other. She had been going through the same stresses this last week as I have-and we may have ended up traveling together. It's so scary. It could have been any one of our babies. So-now I have another worry to add to my list. There's just no way to find out how Josie is, unfortunately.

So-little Faith Theresa Anh-was very loved by the family she never met. So sad.
  • Oh, how awful, Julie - I'm so sorry for that family, and for YOU to now have this additional worry piled on. I'm thinking of you and Josie, and hoping for good health for her.
