Amy - I've had the same problem with dinner calories before. I got in the habit of eating lean cuisines and now its a habit I wish I could kick but my time schedule is really rotten right now.
As far as exercising then not making up for the calories, take it from me (because this just happened to me this morning!) I exercised last night for 45 mins and had like 237 calories left for the day. It was 11 pm last night and I was starving after my workout. So instead of eating all 237 calories before bed, I had 2 slices of cheese and some water to hold me over.
But this morning, I woke up 10 mins early and by the time I got my bagel at Starbucks I felt famished.
But I was also down another pound this morning
So while you may not want to eat because you'll afraid you may not lose, Bob says it on the show all the time, you need to eat to refuel your body from the work its done.
My suggestion is not to try and eat all the calories you gain back from exercise, but at least half. See if that helps with your calorie budget at the end of the day since it sounds like you exercise prior to dinner (in my case its usually after.)
Sonja - I really need to check the nutritional content of the non fat version vs the soy version. I don't know if I could go with SF syrups, they are usually a lot sweeter or bitter to me.

Its taken me since 2006 to get things into a non confusing format (at least for myself!

) So I'm giving myself a pat on the back too!
Other than that, I'm going to be doing invoicing today, so I will be off and on all day depending on how long it takes for me to get them written up and checked over by the VP.
Oh yea! and I'm down 4 lbs already for the week
