  • Good Morning!
to all of the new names!! It's so good to have you here. This forum is usually quite busy but with holidays and busy lives it seems that it's slowed down quite a bit. Please post as often as you wish. We're here to support each other. You're even allowed to whine here, Joan Fay!!

I've been having good eating days but still have not found the energy to get out and walk. I think I'll go walking at the mall tonight. DH doesn't get home until late in the evening and I need something to do. Besides, I might even find something to wear with the new skirt I bought the other day. It feels so good to be able to go straight to the size 12's instead of the 18's and 20's. Sometimes I still don't believe that it's happened for me and that I've kept it off for a year now. Praise God!!

Well, it's off to work. Hopefully the day will be uneventful and I'll have the energy to go out tonight.

    Have a great day!
  • Good Morning Everyone
A new day and I'm ready for it. Wilma - hope you get your new skirt this evening. Victoria ~ welcome. I'm new here too. The support is great.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend. The weather here in San Diego is
cooling and the humidity is way down. I don't do humidity very well.
Maybe I will take Lucy (my dog) to the nursery. They all like her and Lucy likes the outing. I will do my best to eat right today. One day at a time for me. That's all the good Lord gives me.

  • Ladies, thank you so much for the warm welcome!

Joan Fay, have a nice "Lucy day". That is really cute.

Spending time outdoors sounded like fun to me, so I took my little boy to the park this morning and spent an hour there, instead of the usual half hour. It was nice to play outside and be active with him. We're on a tight budget, so doing outdoor things for entertainment is better than being couch potatoes at home!

I am glad to report that I haven't sinned this morning, as far as gluttony goes. I need to keep it up. Not that I am a big cliche' person, but I keep telling myself "One day at a time"...or "One hour at a time" It seems to help. I need to spend more time prayer today too. That should help me!

I'll check back in later! You guys have an awesome day. :-)

  • Hi Everyone! It has been so long since I have logged on to this site! Wow it looks like there are alot of new people here. I remember wilma12, doitforme, and EZMONEY (Gary). It looks like you are all doing well. HEY where is SUNNYD?!!!

Well since the last time I posted I have a new job as a Vice Principal at an alternative school here in Seattle. It is very challenging at times but still very rewarding. My kids are now 10,4 and 2 and they all go to a private school here. It is really nice to finally have them all in the same place. Alot less running around!

I have been doing really well on my weight loss and feel better than ever!

Well, just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing!

    Bye for now!
  • Good Afternoon
Well, I did 25 minutes on the old treadmill today. It is always rewarding when I jump on. Just need to be more consistant. Lucy and I did go to the nursery and did buy some colorful plants and to ceramic toads.
So, now I will go out in entertain myself in the yard.

So far I haven't made any drastic mistakes in the way of eating. One hour at a time as you say. So thanks for the suppport everyone.
Onward and upward with the day.

  • mnewton~ I am from the NW originally. Actually lived up Marysville/Lynnwood for a few years before coming to TX. You are lucky to be around such beautiful mountains and water!

Joan Fay~ I hope you had fin gardening today.

Not much to report, except I can't wait until Thursday when I start the WW program with my friend. I think this week I am prepping myself for the ride of weight loss.

    Good night ladies!!

  • HI GALS

I am taking a few minutes to say hello. I was gone for a couple of weeks, in Illinois, visiting my mom, grandma, sis, bil and uncle. It was a nice trip to see my family.

My kids are still in Europe ~ son in Spain right now ~ called yesterday morning to say he made it through running with the bulls in Pampolna OK! I was so worried after I saw on the morning news that an American had been hurt pretty bad. Daughter is in Switzerland right now, both will meet up for the second time in Germany in a few days. Son was able to see a couple of World Cup soccer games and experience the "drinking" in Germany for the World Cup!!!

Step daughter loving her summer job at Legoland ~ nephew was "let go" of his summer day care job ~ not enough kids to support his help ~ he also had a problem (which we all thought he might) of being "one of the kids" when playing games when he was supposed to be the "leader"! It was hard for him to boss areound the same kids he has played with for years, even though they are a little younger.

Angie and I are doing a 5K today, she will run in it and I will walk. She ran one on the 4th of July also ~ she has really steped up her training this summer after "slacking" a little last year! Very proud of her!!

MYISHA ~ Good to see you back! CHRISTINA~ What's up DOC? WILMA~ Our ROCK!! thanks for keeping it together for us. AUNT SUE~ Riding with the SPIRIT as always!! MISTI ~ Could use a little Seattle rain down here! JOAN FAY ~ I am just a little north of you ~ the Vista/Oceanside area! welcome! WELCOME to all the new gals!!

Gotta go...RACE is in an hour................
  • Hi All! It's been a very relaxing day for me today. We went shopping in the a.m. and then I got highlites done. Now I'm truly a blonde again!! I love it.

DH is outside right now doing potatoes with onions and mushrooms on the grill to go along with the chicken breasts and salad. I bought fresh strawberries for dessert. Can hardly wait!!

My shopping trip last night was successful> I didn't spend a lot of money but got the top I needed for my skirt.

It sounds like everyone here is doing well and keeping on program.

Myisha: WELCOME BACK!! I've missed you. I'm so glad to hear that you've been doing well with your weight loss. Congrats on your job! What a responsibility - no wonder you didn't have time to post.

Gary: Man, is it ever good to hear from you!! Missed you! Sounds like your kids are having an awesome time. How are the wedding plans coming? How was your walk? Glad to hear you had a good time with family. You're right family is so important and we need to spend time with them. I'll hopefully be seeing most of mine in September at a family wedding. I can hardly wait.

Better go check on those potatoes. Talk soon.
  • Yes Gary, I figured you were not too far away. Bless you for keeping up with us gals. Loved hearing about the engagement and up-coming wedding plans.
Wilma -- can I come for dinner? Sounds so good.
Myisha - congrats on your new position. Hope all goes well for you.
And so -- I'm back on the treadmill - the weight just doesn't budge if I do the
Slug act. My metabolism must be very very slow. Maybe it's my age.

Alright I now have found where you guys get those cute images. Lets hope I did this right. Now if I can just find the scale that you use for your weight.
I'm very slow at this. The whole 3 Fat Chicks has changed so much since I joined. Lots of fun and very supportive to use. I just need to learn how.

  • Yes, it worked --- how do you like the treadmill. It should be smoking.
Everyone have a wonderful Sunday worshiping the Lord.
    Blessings & Hugs to everyone.

  • Sending you some flowers from my garden!

I hope you enjoy them! I sure do!
  • Hi Willma,
Lovely flowers. Wish I knew how to send pictures of mine. I used to send pictures of my garden to my mother. She did a lovely album of all the pictures I had sent over the years. Nice memories.
