That's so funny...I have eaten strawberries like they're going out of style. I go pick them up on the way to work...then dip them in splenda. If I don't have time for that, we have a smoothie place on base where I get a strawberry-banana smoothie. Strawberries was my favorite fruit before being pregnant too. Watermelon is the most popular fruit over here because its 99%water so I have been eating that too. Fruits and veggies are HUGE over here...most grown in country. I have enjoyed trying all of the weird ones that I had never had...some are good...some are not.

It was 104 today!! I could barely breathe. When you come on base, you have to go into a search pit which is outside...it usually takes about 10 minutes. I felt like I was dieing. My car is black so that doesn't help. Can't wait til July

Things are pretty well...I will be in my 3rd trimester this week. The baby is kicking like crazy. We go for another ultrasound next week.

My dance classes start today.

My morning class is a prenatal belly dancing class that I am teaching, and my evening class is a beginning belly dance class for regular students. I am pretty excited not only about the money, but about guaranteeing 2 hours of exercise a day every Monday for the next 6 weeks.

I am feeling pretty good right now-just starting to have trouble tying my shoes and putting on socks.

Our ultrasound is on Thursday, so hopefully I will know the gender of the baby later this week.

Watermelon sounds fanatastic. I am still having issues in the afternoons - I throw up more often than not, which is weird, since I didn't too much towards the first. I am at 14 weeks now, and I have an appointment today. I hope we get to hear the heartbeat (DH missed it last time). I am getting a little bigger in the stomach, but have not gained much in the last two weeks I don't think (thankfully - of course the afternoon sickness thing probably has something to do with that...). I have decided cottage cheese is my current "sounds good all the time even when I'm sick" food right now, and I have gone through 48 oz. of it in the last 4 days... (low-fat). At least it's not ice cream! How's everyone doing?

Hey Sara! I'm glad you're feeling somewhat better...ew on the cottage cheese thing though... I was the same way, when I found something I could actually eat...thats all i ate. I was almost scared to try anything else.

I made my last sonogram picture as my avatar. That is from 15 weeks. I had one after that but he didn't cooperate. We go on Saturday for another...mainly to check that everything is ok with him. He's kicking like crazy!! I can see it...it reminds me of that movie Alien.

Aphil did you find out the gender yet? I had an appt yesterday and DH finally got to hear the heartbeat. Always makes it a little more real for me too. We have an appt in 5 weeks for the "big" u/s.

I too am awaiting Aphil to find out what she's having.

I posted in the other thread finally. It has been a really busy week!

At my regular doctor's appointment, they did say that the baby is starting to measure slightly ahead of schedule-about a week-on the ultrasound. So, the trend starts, yet again. My first trimester ultrasounds the baby is always right on schedule in its development-and it matching up with my due date. Then in the 20 week diagnostic ultrasound it always starts getting a little bit ahead, and this continues on throughout the pregnancy-and my babes end up being gigantic. I was about a week ahead in size this time...we will see what it measures out to be at my 28 week ultrasound. (They have to monitor the size carefully.)

Today is my class day. I have a class at 10:30 to teach, and I have another at 7pm this evening. I am always usually a bit sore on Tuesdays from it.

I got a bit of a surprise yesterday. I was told at a 3/d place I was having a girl twice when I did a gender check as my hospital didn't know at my 20 week ultrasound. My doc wanted to do another hospital ultrasound after 30 weeks, so I did it yesterday and my girl is a boy! I have so much pink stuff! I have 9 weeks to figure out how to trade these handme downs into blue ones!

My best advice to you right now, is to pick out a name for a boy, and another for a girl-and not to get rid of all of the pink things just yet. Maybe even pack two outfits in your hospital bag-so that you are covered in either case.

The pros and cons with your situation is that the 3D ultrasounds are much clearer and easier to actually "see" the parts and avoid the confusion such as a bit of umbilical cord being mistaken for a penis...but on the other hand, the hospital u/s was done the latest, when the baby was the most developed. So...at this point I would say it could go either way.

You may very well be going into this and getting a "surprise" on what you are actually having. I hope the baby's sleep area isn't pink ruffles or baseballs-maybe something a little neutral? *crosses fingers*

My ulstrasound said "boy" last week, but all of the big ticket items-nursery bedding/stroller/car seat/etc. are still gender neutral just in case.

How many weeks do you have left to go?

The 3d place ultrasound was only done in 2d. Now that I look at the photos I got, I think I can see the "scrotum". I went there at 22 and 26 weeks. I had asked why the "hamb" was girl parts and not boy, cause they look so similar in photos. That lady only did them for entertainment, she didn't have a medical degree. I had my hospital one at 31.5 weeks. We saw a very sagging scrotum, it wasn't a umbillical cord. If this is a girl, she will need some serious firming up!

I have to exchange my car seat. I have to get some new sheets. Lots of clothes to exchange. Lots of handme downs to pass on to someone else. But it could be lots worse!

My "big" u/s is tomorrow. I won't be back to post until Thursday since I have no net access at home.

I AM SOOOO READY TO GET THIS LITTLE BOY OUT OF ME!!!

I love him but my ribs are killing me...he is sitting funny underneath them. I had a scare last week...severe abdominal pain. Not sure what it was but doctor gave me a safe, mild pain killer and bed rest. I'm much better now.

We had our 28 week scan and the baby is doing great. He was sleeping...we were able to wake him up but he went straight to sucking his thumb. I put the latest picture of him as my avatar. It's amazing what they do in the womb. When my husband talks to my tummy, he starts moving around.

Sorry I have not been posting. I have been busy and rather discouraged. I am still doing the "throw up almost every afternoon" thing, which has been going on since I hit 3 months. (I am 15 weeks now). It just makes me tired, and it was a blow, when I thought I was supposed to start feeling BETTER this trimester... I know, that can still happen, but I am so tired and I want to feel better. Still haven't felt any movement yet, but I hear it is often harder for first time moms to tell. I really look forward to that! "Big" u/s is scheduled in 3 1/2 weeks - hope we get to find out the gender! I have been so excited for you all as you continue to (well, sort of) find out! The positive side of the recent sickness kick is I don't think I have gained any weight in the last 3 weeks (on top of my 15 lb gain, that's just fine). I hope you're all doing well, and I hope that I can feel better and get active soon! I really miss working out, but I am just too tired and sick most of the time. If only I didn't have to work 8 to 5.... ;-) TTYL.

Usually first time moms will start feeling movement at around 15-16 weeks. At 22 weeks, unless the baby gets me a "good one", I don't usually feel it when I am exercising, running around, etc. but when I lay down, sit still, or drive. I think too much of our movement can "drown it out" when they are still smaller.
Here in about a week, have a slightly sweet snack-some orange juice, a piece of fruit, etc. and then lay down really still for 20 minutes or so. Usually when I have something sweet, a little while later the baby starts moving when he is "getting his" snack.
