  • Just for fun I added a formula to my weightloss excel spreadsheet that gives me the average of the last 7 days weight each day. Beautifully enough, it shows a loss every single day using the averages. Made me feel a lot better.

    Mara. Yep, my appointment is Tuesday (like yours!) I will be thinking of you and knowing that when you are done with the surgery, you will BE BETTER and heal fast! ME I am thinking that I am a worry wart and that the spot (changing colors) is just nothing.. being on my forarm... I hope it is nothing!

    I had tequila shots, a few chips and cheese dip with dinner and know I will have water weight so I avoided the scale this morning. Back on the right track this morning with a weigh in tomorrow.

  • I forgot to ask you ladies and I think I know the answer which is why didn't buy any but all of the hard salami, roast beef or any kind of meat that I can find and I want to eat all have dextrose less than 2% in them that's a no-no right. I mean the total carb count is zero and the sugars are zero but if dextrose is ingredient that means you can't eat it right? I can't find any deli meats I want that don't have it in there.

    Any opinions or info??
  • I personally don't check for dextrose. Just carbs.

  • Jessie... watch out for the Nitrates too... and the sodium. As for the dextrose.. Maybe JerseyGirl can answer that.. I eat Pepperoni every other week.. but mostly its fresh Chicken or Boars Head deli meat (does not have as many "things" added to it) and your uptick.. WATER! Time for some LEMON water or LEMON Tea (use fresh lemons.. they help us pee!)

    I am still going down.. During my usual 1 week of woosh (really just 5 days) I lose about 4 lbs.. and I seem to be in the middle of it again.. OR maybe its my MIND Change to being back to being COMMITTED again and am in that auto pilot frame of mind that I can work with and not be tempted.. I don't know.. but its working and I plan on WINNING THIS THING! YEP Watch out GIRLS! Skipper Sue is running to the lead! LOL

  • Didn't weigh today...I'm coming down with something and I feel terrible. Ate like crazy yesterday, but at least I stayed with allowed foods.

    As icky as I feel today, and as non existant as my weight loss has been this last week, I do have a rather significant NSV to report. I have now been on Atkins for 4 weeks, and I have not cheated once. Not even one morsel or sip of a forbidden item has passed my lips. So for me.

  • Wow! you guys are doing great!

    Sue they put my surgery for this Thursday so if you all don't hear from me I am just probably sleeping. Sue my Mom just had a spot checked and was told that if was benign, but to stop tanning. So fingers crossed that you get the same if not better news.

    I am not doing well. So much temptation and stress. I went to the Royal Horse Gala show here and it was wonderful! We got the really nice seats where they prepare food (brisket flatbread, pinwheels, chicken fajitas) and drinks for you and I ate a lot, but I really enjoyed it. And I will not even get into the desserts they had present.

    Hoping that after surgery I will be in a better mindset and feel more energetic. I am just tired, worried, and nervous so I am not sticking to my guns. I did go for a four mile walk yesterday so that was nice.
  • does anyone here use MCT oil? I have been putting coconut oil in my coffee or tea daily and love it, wondering about bulletproof coffee / tea and get ya some ice cream which call for MCT oil.. just curious
