Quote: Got my team for the Biggest Loser contest at work pumped up. We weighed in today and pow wowed on strategy . 4 out of the 5 team members are doing IP, so we're all sharing tips and tricks to power thru. The contest ends 4/1 but between now and then our well coach will be doing fitness and nutrition seminars to keep ppl motivated. She's asked our team to present he IP program and I believe she's going to contact an actual IP coach(not my former one) to come in as well. She's pretty fired up about the program. Our team is going to win and share our success!
What a great motivator and support system!
  • Hello everyone, I just started today.my coach told me to consume 5 IP products a day, is this true?
  • Panya- its late and you may not get much of a response. I believe it depends on the coach and your starting weight. This question is best left for lisa to answer. She will know for sure. I started w 3 packets but certainly wished I was allowed more in the earlier weeks.
  • I started IP over 200 lbs so did 4 packs a day till I was under 200. Most will tell you that you CAN have up to 5 a day at the beginning of the program if you are hungry. Even now, if I'm having a very hungry day (rare) I'll have an extra packet but for the most part I do three a day.

My coach told me 3-5 the first week (only 1 restricted)
I'm not a coach and don't play one on TV but a coach shared info from the manual:

Most people use 3 packets (2 non-restricted, 1 restricted) per day.

In the IP clinic manual, it's listed this way:

    201-240 pounds = 4 packets/day
    241-280 pounds = 5 packets/day
    281-320 pounds = 6 packets/day

Of course, still only 1 of those is restricted.
  • Good morning everyone! Happy Friday!
Ive got a question, I'm starting week 4 and I've been doing the following:
    Water, water, water .... Water
    B- coffee/EAS drink
    L- EAS drink/ 2C veggies
    S- EAS drink
    D- 8 oz protein/ 2C veggies

I've been finding that after I eat my veggies I get very tired for about 30 - 45 min, NO energy. But I've never felt this way before doing this diet...
Maybe someone might have a suggestion for me? Is this normal?

BTW, I made the Big Mac recipe last night - wow that was great!

    Thanks much!
  • We can use this chat thread another day

Are you eating your veggies WITH the protein?
    Which ones are you having?
  • I haven't had a food dream in a while. Woke up dreaming I was eating a big basket of chicken fingers and fries. It was soooo good but now I will be thinking about that all day
  • Good Morning IPeeps.
Today was WI #4 and I know that you are Not to use the word "only", but really, I ONLY lost 1.2lbs and a couple of days ago it was down 4 lbs. The only thing I can think of is that I have been on my feet the last 2 days and my knee (8 weeks post op) has been swollen, so maybe retaining some fluid, I am frustrated! But, I will keep going. The big "c" is a problem too, which I don't understand with all the veggies we eat. The ONLY time in my entire life I have the problem is when I do IP! So, off to make some "special" tea with Sencha. So love having the temp moving up to freezing and a little more today Have a great weekend everyone

So the inflammation/water weight absolutely explains it.
Remember, the scale doesn't tell the whole story.
    Measurement change?
  • OH MY GOSH SOMEONE BROUGHT A KING CAKE TO THE OFFICE. I MUST STAY AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN. I WON'T EAT IT. I HAVE NO DESIRE TO EAT IT. IT'S WARM SMELL IS WAFTING THROUGH THE OFFICE!

I'll sit back in my desk chair and enjoy the fact that I no longer have 70 pounds on my body, remember how delicious my chocolate drink was this morning and how amazing it'll be to wear a two piece this summer

Have you tried acidophilus? I take it each day when I take my vitamins. It helps prevent the big C.
