This is an ancient thread but it brings up valid questions.

Sometimes you just have to realize that if you have lost a significant amount of weight, there's going to be extra skin there. It may or may not be fat. If it's extra skin, no amount of dieting is going to get it off.

If you're young (as many in this forum are) it may have enough enough elasticity to unstretch over time (years)
  • Sometimes its the foods you eat that will help you lose/gain that bit of belly bloat. If you drink a lot of soda, that will increase bloat, if you chew gum that will increase bloat. Things like broccoli will increase bloat...I know there's more! I just can't remember them all. But congrats and awesome job on a size 6!
  • I understand completely. I am 133 at 5'5 and I still have a muffin top, pudgy belly, and jelly like thighs. I have a co-worker who is the same weight as me, shorter but somehow still looks SO much smaller then I do! I know its bad to compare yourself to others but lets face it.... we all do it from time to time.

I know its due to the frame of your body, where it stores your fat and so on though. I am doing P90X yoga twice a week as well as running 6 times a week to see if I start toning up a little bit. I am also cutting out sugar, processed crap and trying to stuff in my veggies and lean meats, hoping that this will help cut the fat.

Just keep plugging away until you start liking what you see I guess, thats my plan anyway!
  • I'm sorry i just had to pipe up.

    surgery.

    s-u-r-g-e-r-y. not surgury.
  • I get it! I'm a size 6,finally. it's been 10 years since I was a 6! But I still have back flab and stomach flab. I'm sure it's because I have to workout. I'm happy that I am 100% def in a size 6/8, but scared that i'm not fit enough. I feel like its so easy to gain weight right now. I guess it's good to have that fear and channel it to energy to workout? I'm happy that I'm not alone in this feeling tbh...
