  • Megan - things around here always break when there isn't anyone around to help with them either!

Kim - cat psychologist? I can't even vision how that would work.

Bill - be careful in the weather this weekend!

    Sheila hope you feel better!

Bargoo - I had a dog who always pooped in the lobby at the vet's office. I figure she was making a statement.

Allison - Woohoo! Great news on the weight and on DD's grades! My cat used to do that - I started locking her out of the bedroom at night and that cured it. She is just happy now when i let her in the room.

I just got back from a run - 4.2 miles, first time out since the beginning of November. No more signs of vertigo or weirdness, which I'm happy about. I didn't actually see the doctor, talked to them on the phone and they told me to come in if it happened again. So far it hasn't.

    Good weekend everyone!
  • Michele~I attribute the weight loss to several things:
    1. a bad night's sleep the night before the inital weigh in
    2. a huge Italian dinner the night before the weigh in
    3. too much alcohol the night before the weigh in (which caused the bad night's sleep)
    4. giving up candy at work for 5 whole days (woot)
    5. giving up alcohol on days Mon-Thurs and limiting myself to only one or two on Fri-Sun
    6. eating much more moderately sized meals

I wish I could add exercise to that list, but I only managed to work out one day last week. I've got to work on that, but as long as the weight is coming off, I don't care!
  • Happy New Year Everyone!!

Just returned from a 2 week vacation in Mexico.
    Time to get serious!!
That Mexican food is far from slimming + all those Margaritas
Luckily WW sent me a notice to sign up again for free - think it is a sign.

Hope everyone is having a good start to 2011.

  • Hi everyone! Hope your coffee/tea is especially warm this chilly morning. Welcome back, sznn!

I'm looking forward to my own warm-weather vacation, in mid-Feb. I've been hitting the gym and diet pretty hard to build up a cushion -- or, should I say, lose the cushion -- before I go. After all, who wants to count calories on a vacation? I've lost another couple of pounds since Christmas, enough to change my profile weight and, while I was at it, update my avatar. I'd like to lose a few more, but as long as I maintain where I am, I won't embarrass my kid toooooo much in my swimsuit. (Just kidding -- he's a good kid, and too young to worry about being embarrassed by his mother anyway.)

Work day for me here, so I'd better get to it.

    //b. strong,
    Kim
