  • Morning~I am going to vent for a few minutes. I did a sneak peek weigh in this morning. I should not have done that. I have been taking my tags. I have honestly worked 30 minutes for each one. I have not cheated doing them. I had one crappy day of eating on either Tues or Wed. Don't remember which day it was. The scale said 184. I am so very frustrated (FRUSTRATED) I could scream, catch and kill the scale goddess, toss her scale out the door and forget this whole weight loss business. Of course, I will not do any of that. I will continue on trying to break through in to the next decade. I just don't understand how a body can do 90-120 minutes of sweating your butt off and not show any results!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally understand the calories eaten versus the calories burned/used concept. Eat more burn less you gain. On the other hand eat healthy burn calories loose. I am ranting in circles here, but I am frustrated!!

    Okay, I bought new makeup to go with my black dress. Now I need to get to the mall and find the perfect dress. A knee length dress, umpire waste, with a vee neck line. I have the jewlery, hair do, make up, shoes. Need the slinky dress. I may need a body shaper to help pull off what the scale goddess didn't bless me with. If the shaper pushes the excess up to the bust line I would be ever so happy ;-)))))). Pat

    Yesterday the scale moved again in the right direction, back to 239.

    Pat, hang in there! I've noticed a lot of times it takes about a week for your workout results to show up on the scale...

    How's everyone else holding up?
  • I am sucking, but I know what to do to change it. I will hit 149 something by Friday, then it's on the the 130's for moi.
  • Out of the 150's!!!
    148 yesterday, 148.6 today, 147 something by Sunday!!
    139 by Christmas, probably not, but doing everything I can to get out of the 140's now that I made it back there!!
  • I am SOLIDLY in the the 150's now. It's on to the 140ville for me now! GO ME!

    I did some massive self-sabotgae this last week - and back slide into the upper #180s AGAIN! I could shoot myself! UGH!!
  • I had been plateauing since November. I gained about 8 pounds and then 6 pounds and I have been stuck in the 250's for the last 3 weeks. I finally broke that plateau. I read somewhere on the internet that our weight will hit a plateau between 4 to 6 months after initial weight loss. I have been stuck in the 200's since my son was 2 years old. I was 22 years old and he is now 16 1/2!!!!! I am now ready to get out of it permanently and NEVER GO BACK!!! My 20th high school reunion is next year and I am going to look DARN GOOD!!!!
  • Erricah - I'm glad you've joined us! I know that if I actually stuck to the plan, and WORKED OUT EVERY DAY that I'd get out of the #180s! For some reason everytime I make progress, I sabotage myself! UGH! Welcome aboard!

    While I am frustrated by that, I have to admit I am very happy to have seen 143.5 three times now
  • well i am down to 182 and i am going to weigh in again on monday in the hopes that i will not go the opposite direction. i have found that i lose during the week gain two pounds over the weekend then by friday again i am down another pound so i lost the two that i gained over the weekend plus one more. i am hopoing to take out the 2 steps backwards and take 3 forward.
  • Julie, 143.5 sounds wonderful, I am going to try and catch you, I was at 147.8 this am, so moving slowly in the right direction!!

    MrsAugie, I usually gain on the weekend too, I was so happy today when I lost .2, that's huge for me on the weekend.

    Erricah, I am with ya, weighed 203 when I came home w YS, he is now 18 and I still weighed over 160 last year when I started this in earnest. Baby fat is no long a viable excuse.
    I weighed 98 in HS (bulimia, so not a healthy 98) and 112 when I got pregnant the first time (OS is 21) then 132 when I got pregnant the 2nd time. If I can get back there, we'll see how it goes,
  • Hi everyone!

    I see a few people mentioned goal weights by Christmas, that's what I have and I'm pushing myself to get there. I have fluctuated between 169 and 179 for the 7 years, since 2001. My short term goal is to get to 159 and that's all I'm focusing on right now even though my actual goal is 144.

    So, I gotta get to 159 and right now I'm at 164.4. And I would like to do it before Christmas. I'm doing the 30DS and yoga and walking/running.

  • i did it again i am up 2 pounds from the weekend. my goal for next weekend and is to at least maintain my friday weight. any way other then that every thing is fine over here.
  • OH so slowly moving scale...I am at 147.7 today. I have the day off and am going shopping, not an excuse to eat badly. I am going to be doing a lot of walking so I need to pay attention to what I eat so I can see 146 something tomorrow and maybe closer to the 130's by New Years Eve!!

    River, are you doing a walking /running program like C25K or doing your own thing?

    Julie, I so badly want to catch you!! I just saw on another thread that a girl I used to be very close to in weight has made her goal of 125, if I only stay focused, I could get there too.

    MsAugie, keep at it! I usually gain on the weekend too.
