Hey all-- I tried to get her more often this week, but we've been so busy at work, and I've been dead-tired at night! Sheesh, I'm hoping things ease up next week and my energy comes back. Could be TOM, could be a cold, could be nothing. I just read through all the posts and feel better! It's Friday, so after work I'm a free woman and can regroup.
bentley fontane -- Welcome! I make a smoothie every morning, and I love them because it isn't like I have to sit down and eat something all at once. I put it in an insulated coffee mug with a straw and sip it on my way to work. It isn't heavy and super healthy! Plus, it only takes a few minutes, which is all I have time for in the morning anyways. Mine usually consists of: 1 frozen banana, 1 cup soy milk, 1 T ground Flaxseed, 1 cup frozen strawberries (or blueberries or mixed berries, whatever I have). When I have it, I also like to add 1/2 cup oatmeal or 1/2 cup soy yogurt (or, make it a green smoothie by adding a few cups of spinach -- you can't even taste it and your getting in some veggies!!).
garstar -- Welcome! I'm pretty new too and this is a great place for motivation and pick-me-ups and just chatting about life.
artsnsmarts -- I think it's GETTING TO the gym that is the biggest challenge, cuz once you're there, you just do what you gotta do. Since I can talk myself out of pretty much anything, I find it best not to think about working out too much, and just kind of go through the motions until I'm actually working out. (Wow, written out it sounds kinda weird!)
