Sounds like your going to have to get tougher on the girl. Spell it out that she's crazy is she thinks you're going to be involved. "I'm not talking to you and stop calling me."
Also if your son is making the car payments and her name is not on the papers for the car, he can call the police on her stupid dramatic self for stealing/damaging the car. Even if he's too nice to do it, you can still tell her that he legally can do it. Then hang up every time she calls after that.
It's harrassment. Yep, I invision bunny soup (from that creapy movie I can't think of the name) soon, she sounds like she's a basket case.
Your son has good instincts in getting rid of her before it gets even more involved.
I think the idea of calling the phone company and having her number blocked is a great one. I may do this today. My biggest fear has been that her, her alcoholic dad, and doper brothers will show up here. I won't hesitate to call the police if they come to my house to harrass me. My DH is a state trooper and won't go for any of this crap at all. I think she probably realizes this much, but may not be smart enough to heed the warning. Makes me think now that maybe my son was smarter about all this than I thought. He seriously needed out of this obsessive, crazy relationship. He kept telling me that he was scared to death that she would "get pregnant on purpose just to trap him". The other day he rejected her when she climbed into his bed, good thing, I saw her throw away her birth control pills 2 days before saying she wouldn't be needing them anymore.
Anyway DH and his daughter are going to pick up the jeep today. I hope it isn't damaged. I had originally planned on going to get it with DH, but told him that I can't handle it and don't want any part of it. I'm thinking maybe he should take the title with him (which has only DH and my son on title) and maybe take another police officer with him due to the craziness of her entire family. Since she lives in the same county that we do, he could go in uniform and this might make it more official and less of a hassle.
The "no good deed goes unpunished " certainly fits here.
Lily, When calling the phone company ask what will happen when she does call...will the phone just ring on her end or will there be a messege she will hear telling her that her call will not be connected by your request.
Lets hope there is no damage to the jeep.
Glad to say that we got his Jeep back and it seems to be fine. She hasn't called me anymore since I told her that I refuse to run interference for her. I called the phone company and turns out I was already paying for caller ID in my plan. So, plugged in a new caller ID phone and this is working well.
I don't expect them to ever get back together. It's been about 10 days now and Shane is moving on. (his old HS girlfriend called here for him last night). Maybe Amy got word of this and that's why she quit bugging me. He did end up buying her plane ticket to her sister's. Hope she has a better life out in Virginia.
Wow Lily! I sure hope that she gets on that plane and moves on! I hope she doesn't call you or come over again! If so be tough. She needs that right now it sounds like.

Thanks all, I'm fine. I just bought a new computer and had it delivered today. So, I am back. I missed everyone. I am happy to report that Amy is now safely in Virginia with her sister. Yeah!. At least now if she calls I can see it on my caller ID and ignore it for a while. My son is moving on. I talked to him today and he seems very happy. He has military drill this weekend. I think things are finally getting better for us all.
