Not doing ... Done and been - and done and done it! It rained about half way through so it wasn't as hot and I didn't have to stay but half as long... thank goodness! I grabbed the money and ran!!! I'm the clerk/treasurer so I have to read the minutes from last year, take minutes for the business this year and take up 2 collections - one for the maintenance of the cemetery and one for the Trust Fund which has been set up for future maintenance (which I also take care of!) Then I count the money, tell them how much was collected and we adjourn. I then have to come home, write it all in a ledger and during the year I have to see that the cemetery is mowed and taken care of, write any checks that are needed and take care of the bank accounts. And, no, I get nothing in return for any of this! (Until I die ... and then I'll get a hole in the ground, of course!!!)

Just another thing to do Meme. Yikes. Didn't go to Cape-had pains in my stomache all day from what? Who knows-with my stomache. Sat next to a little boy in the hospital waiting room and his brother said he threw up that morning. I was there for my mammo. Oven won't work. I cleaned it on Friday-the door says locked-it isn't -and the oven won't work.. Had to make a meatloaf in the micro-not bad, but the one in the camper does a great job with that. I will call today. We might go to the Cape for the day on Wed. or Thurs-hubby has to finsh a job on Friday. 6 more days til Mike. Mima

Mima- I know you are looking forward to seeing that G/baby... ER's are like planes..The best place to get sick..My sister-in-law sat next to a lady on the trip from Germany. She had a cold when she left here to go back to AZ. My hubby has it now. I am hoping not to be next..I keep watching for signs.
Meme- What next can you find to do?!You are the busy person. If I want to get rain ,I'll have to go about 15-20 miles out in the Gulf. My hubby says maybe tonight.. I will wait and see.
Now I have to get busy. It seems that there is always something needing attention. We spend most of the day yesterday watering plants and working outside..

dh getting better. hope to have him back home in a few days. Released by gastroenterologist and nephrologist and now it's just waiting for the cardiologist to say when the numbers re his blood thinner are ok. Seven units of blood total. He's going to be hard to hold down I think when he gets back. I'm going to want a vacation.

Candice - the cookie monster!!! I don't hardly bake anymore at all. Muffins once in awhile. I LOVE baking. Doesn't seem fair, that I can't even do that.

Mima - hope your condo gets sold. It is hard to sell by yourself. People really do try to take advantage. They think you know nothing. Hope you are feeling better tummy wise.

Meme - Hi. Like the energizer bunny, you just keep on going, and going, and going and going, and going. I wonder what happens when the batteries run out? Oh yeah, they can replace those!! What about you?

Ally - so nice to hear from you. The boys are gone again, and you are still in love. That is great. Enjoy your reunion or is it I hope you enjoyed your reunion Can't remember when it was.

My daughter and gd were here on Friday and left Saturday, son and his future family came on Saturday and left Sunday, so had a busy weekend. My hip and back have been giving me lots of grief. Went to the chiro. today, so hoping it will feel better tomorrow. I have even been taking 200mg of Celebrex everyday for over a week because of that Achilles Tendon pain, so this pain was well over 10 on the wonderful chart they give you.

MORE rain again today! I was teaching and didn't know it was absolutely pouring and I guess Sami didn't have enough sense to get on the front porch. She knew I was downstairs and she was waiting by the basement door for me. She was soaked. Poor thing. I had THREE Darvocets today ... try to teach with all that in you! NOT easy! No telling what those kids went home with!!!

I think my batteries have run down completely ... I'm back to falling down on the couch or in a chair every 5 minutes again. I can't even stand up for long. I made some stew and did a little washing today and taught piano and that's it. I'm telling you, I'm about done for. I'm supposed to have Ross for two weeks after this week but I just don't know if I can handle him or not!!! Hubby is trying to get us an outside booth at the fair for the trailers ... that goes on for 10 days and nights plus my Cousin and her husband and maybe kids are planning a trip this way for a weekend soon ... I'm ready to run away and hide out somewhere! Just T O O tired!

I can understand your wantibg to run away, Meme. I made a list of things that I was concerned about-woke up at 4- and there were many. Most of them belong to other people. I forgot a few like getting Alison in and out of the house in her wheelchair-we ahve stairs. But then again, I can't do it. I polyed the doors yesterday and my arm hurts-the other one and I still have another coat to put on-Brad has a couple of things to do but not tto big. Driveway guy did not show up. Oven doesn't work after I self-cleaned it. Darn computer stuff!!!! I am better but I still didn't feel well. Aiming for the Cape for Thursday-it's going to be rainy all week-Joanne would like that. I really don't care but I'm sure the driveawy guy does.Let's all go to a spa and rest!!!!Mima can't bake so I can't get in trouble like you, Candice.

Mima- Right! I like the rain.. My hubby seems to catch as many weather reports as he can. He says"we should get it in the next hour". Ofcourse the sun is shining and we haven't got it yet.Why don't you do what I told my son to do with his stairs. Lay a 12 inch board down on the stairs ,put her in a basket and slide her up or down. It might work.. He didn't do it. He was afraid the dog might jump out. He is 100 lbs and he carries him up and down. He is old and won't/can't manage the stars.He will be moving again in Nov. so whatever he does will be short term..
The Dr says it is arthritis in my neck.. So keep on doing what you are doing. No concern. I will deal with it!!!I am in the first stages of my hubbys cold. I hope I can go to TOPS tomorrow. I won't go if it gets worse. No sence in giving it away.I don't think the ladies would be happy campers .
I am not so good at starting a new thread,so I will let someone else do it. I messed it up once before..

If there's a spa movement going on, add my name. Dh is likely going to get home tomorrow but only with my continuing to give him shots in the tum for a while. There's not an unbruised spot left but he's so eager to get home.....

I'm home from the hospital for a bit this afternoon and don't know where to start. Maybe I'll just take a nap and then see how the time looks for going back. More thunder here so won't stay on computer long. Poured yesterday as well and more expected on and off all week.

I need to have some SERIOUS fun.
