I got the dress for Sunshine's wedding today! It's actually kinda cute. The picture on the website did not do it justice. But....it's a little tight around the boobies. I could live with it but BACK FAT! Sooo I'm going to try to find a little jacket to go with it that won't have me sweating buckets at the wedding. I'm off this weekend so it's gym and mall. I want to get a official bra fitting and order a strapless bra for the wedding.

I posted a blog the other day and this girl actually thanked me for posting a pic of Whitney from ANTM (I was saying that if I had to be fat, I wanted to at least be proportioned like her). It kinda made me happy because most of the girls on Xanga are dealing with eating disorders (or acting like they are), trying to lose weight the unhealthy way and always posting pics of horribly bony girls. When I post pics, I always post pics of girls I find very attractive and healthy looking. So this girl thanked me, saying that it was nice to see that she could still be pretty even while big.

I've watched Sleepy Hollow about eight times in the last three days. I don't know, I just keep rewinding it! Johnny Depp is walking sex. I also unpacked (yes, I still have alot of stuff packed!) some of my books and I started to reread a Harlequin book that I haven't read in a long time. It's actually one of the first romance books I've ever read, when I was 10. I think this book and some others helped start my fascination with cowboys. To this day, I still want my own cowboy, chaps and all. TMI, sorry.

Whoa, this is more than I've written in a long time! Gotta get to bed. 'Night!
  • Good Morning Ladies

Tummy ~ Sorry to hear it was a bust and have a great time on your trip. Sure gonna miss ya around here.

jasonslea ~ I love reading as well. I might dig up some of my books and find something to read.

MsP ~ Whew! Good to see you back kiddo! Even better, you did wonderfully. I'm sending you good vibes and hopefully the scale will reward you as well.

As for me, I'm up a hair this morning. But I always am after my Strength & Core Training days. I've implemented the core training to my routine and dang if my abs don't freakin hurt all day long. Then If I toss and turn in the bed, I'll hit a certain angle and they just really sting. Oh well, when I lose the belly fat, my abs will be nice and tone..now that will be a first.

Ok, this is gonna sound kind of weird but bare with me. You know how guys can make their pecks move..ya know flex em? Ummm, well I can to. Laying in bed talking to my son and it moved. I was like did I do that? So I tried to flex the muscle and my girl moved. It sounds so stupid, but a NSV regardless. I'm toning the girls up I suppose.

So yesterday was a weird day and I think I'm still in awe at the death of Michael Jackson. Stunned. I guess that is the reality that life is moving on for me. Then poor Farrah to. It was just a tragic day all around. The world has lost two great entertainers.

Well I guess, I need to get moving. You ladies have a great day and remember to wear those smiles today.
  • It's DH's big day!! He's getting ready right now, and hopefully we'll have time to squeeze in the free hotel breakfast.

We had dinner last night with his potential new manager (plus wife and 2 kids!) and the co-founder/Senior VP of Projects who is in town to visit the office. It was very easy and enjoyable, a getting to know you one-on-one type thing and it let me meet them, too. I think things went VERY well. When we'd mentioned how we'd been trying to figure out what part of the country we wanted to move to, DH mentioned one place. They started to say it was nice there and then were like "wait, no, you don't wanna live there, it's awful!"

PLUS at one point, the co-founder was asking about my job stuff. I mentioned I wasn't sure how things would go, I told my boss we were potentially moving, he's on vacation for 2 weeks so I'm not sure when we'll be able to talk to see if there's any way I can work remotely or if I'll have to try to find something up here. The guy said "well, we do have another position. From what it sounds like, I don't think it's what you're wanting to do but it could be something to get you by for 6 months to a year." Seriously, wow!! It's kind of tech support, but it would be a job in the same state as DH which would eliminate the fears of having to go without one income for any period of time. Could be useful stuff!!

I'm excited! I'll keep you ladies posted when I have more info! DH's interview is supposed to be about 4 hours and includes a programming test. Potential manager is picking him up at the hotel in 30 minutes so that I can explore this area without having to lose an hour driving. How nice is that?

    Tragic...both of them!!!

Makes me think back to my childhood. I actually dated a guy in college who was friends with Michael. My friends dad worked in AC in the music industry so he had met alot of entertainers...MJ, being one. Michael and my friend were about the same age...so they hit it off!!! One day in his dorm he was talking to MJ, and I was able to listen to him talk...didn't get to talk to him but heard his voice on the phone...My claim to fame....well one of them anyway.

So I didn't sleep well last night, about 2 hours, on the couch....felt REALLY tired but somehow made it to boot camp. It was very humid so it was a tough one. Don't feel like I got the most out of the workout...
  • Just had one minute to drop in and say hi, oh and guess who made GOAL! Lost another 0.5 and for the first time in four years 199! Bye for now, I'm going to float over to Ontario now!
  • Glutio ~ Good luck to your hubby and have fun.

Jacque ~ Gosh, I just really can't wrap my head around it. It's not like I knew him, so I don't see how it has a profound effect on me. Then again, I'm reminded of my childhood when I think of him, so perhaps it's some part of you being lost to the sands of time. I don't know. Just like Farrah, was such an icon to many young girls in her hayday! Just tragic all around..though, I'm not looking forward to the aftermath of all of this. I'm sure everyone will come out of the woodworks with stories and then his estate and his children. I just hope it isn't a huge mess, I do hope he had his affairs in order. After the whole Anna Nicole thing, celebrities should really have their t's crossed and those I's dotted.

Tummy ~ How is Onederland girly? I'm soooooo glad you got there before you left. What a way to get your trip off to a fantastic start. Just fanfreakintastic I tell ya. Good dang job!
  • Tummy Girl 199!

Glutio - Wishing you & DH the very best. Sounds exciting.

Delphi - Congrats on your pecs. I'll bet your boys were impressed

JasonsLea - I haven't watched TV for years & didn't know who Whitney or what ANTM was until this morning. I watched a YouTube clip & now I know. Thanks for keeping me pop culturally literate

    Speaking of Pop Culture -

Very sad for Farrah & MJ's families. Especially for Ms. Fawcett's only child - who was prevented from being by his mother's side because he's such a danger to the People of California.
He's sitting in jail on a drug conviction.
Redmond and millions like him are helping to turn a handsome profit for the big corporations that run prisons and have lobbied so hard to keep "illegal" drugs illegal.
We have more people in prison than China. The United States has 5 percent of the world's population, but 25 percent of the world's prison inmates.
Very sad for MJ's young children.

That said, wonderful and influential people in the Arts, Sciences, Politics and on America's Main Street, die everyday.
Their deaths are relegated to page B 4 of the Sunday paper.

I supposed I'm going to get flamed for saying I personally couldn't care less
Seems like another corporate media distraction (a la Joseph Goebbels) to sell newspapers and up viewership.
    Pure Bread & Circus.

MSM once again ebbs out to the lowest common denominator for ratings.
I found it appalling that the NYT & Washington Post both carried it as a front page story.
    So much for journalism.......
  • Hello ladies!

Well, well, well! Someone has entered onederland! :congrats: TummyGirl!! Oh that's sooooo awesome! What a great way to start a trip!

Delphi~ good for you telling that guy you had a bf! I dunno, he sounded a bit forward and pushy--I mean, come on! Hopefully that's the end of his visits. Love the pec story!

Glutio~ sounds like things are going great with your hubby's interview! Keep us posted!

Jacqui~ here's hoping TOM's outta here by July! I'm anxious for next month's challenge--not sure how I'm going to swing my workouts with being in a car for 4 days that first week...eek! We'll see.

    Gekster
~ I'm so proud of you! Odd that your mil was glaring at you--what, is your exercising cramping her style somehow? Sheesh! Keep up the great work hun! It's almost the weekend and you sound like you're more in control than ever! That's so awesome!

NSM~ keeping my fingers crossed that you find the perfect house soon! Keep us posted on the latest one!

FSA~ oh I'm jealous! Have a wonderful long weekend!!

MsP~ can't wait to hear the scale report! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's nice to you today! Glad to hear you survived the trip--it gives me hope that we'll make it through our trip in one piece.

Shari~ I have no idea what ANTM is--now I'm gunna have to google! Hope you find the perfect jacket for that dress! I'm jealous you're getting a bra fitting! I soooo need to do that!

Jacque~ ugh...I don't know how you did the bootcamp outside! It's been so sticky and hot here--I've been doing my HIIT on the treadmill! I haven't been outside during the day unless it's been to get into the car or into a store! I know I should suck it up, but I have a feeling if I tried to do my HIIT outside I'd never finish it. Hope you can take a nap today hun!

Shocking news about MJ yesterday. It totally makes me recall my younger years--he was definitely an influential icon in music! I can still remember the night he did the moonwalk for the first time--I thought that was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen! Ahh, to be so wow'd by something so simple. So sad about Farrah too--Ryan O'Neal had just announced that they were going to remarry as soon as she was strong enough to say 'yes'.

Well, it's been a long week! It's been fun having my mom & sissy here, but the weather has been so hot and icky that we haven't done much. My mom has worked out every day that she's been here, even waking up early to do strength training with me! It's been fun having a workout partner.

I'm down a teensy bit this morning, .4 lbs so that brings me to 162.2. I'm trying not to get all about it, but it's kind of frustrating after consistently losing 2+ lbs per week and staying POP all this week. Hmm, wasn't I just talking about being concerned about losing too fast? Sheesh, that'll teach me to open my big fat mouth! Next time I'm just gunna keep my and roll with it!

Made a low cal/fat cheesecake yesterday and tonight's the night we're going to tear into that bad boy! I'm hoping it tastes good! It's been a while since I made one (years actually) so we'll see.

Saturday my ils want to go to a pizza place around the corner--I'm scared! I love, love, love pizza girls! I need some major will power dust to keep me from losing it! My plan is to drink a ton of water before we go and to stick to a big salad or maybe a slice of vegetarian pizza. I dunno...eek!

Well girls, I better go. I need to get my shower in and stuff. Hope everyone has a fantastic day and if I don't get a chance to check in this weekend--have a wonderful weekend too! Be sure to keep up the great work--we're almost at the end of the month girls!!!

And lastly, it goes without saying (but I'm gunna say it anyway )...be sure to...

    Drink Your Water!!!
  • Susie ~ In a sense, I agree. So many "real" heroes die with out notice and that is unfortunate indeed. So even though, I try to keep up to speed with current events, I thrive on local news. Those hometown heroes that don't make it to the front page of national news, most certainly do at home. With that being said, my heart goes out to those that do pass. Anytime, a parent dies and leaves behind small children, it is indeed a travesty, regardless of your fame or lack thereof!

Sandye ~ Don't worry..plan ahead. Call that pizza place and see if you can get some calorie counts on the pizza and then work them into your allotment for the day or exercise more. Then again, you could just have a good time, eat a piece of pizza and chalk it up to just having a cheat day, where you don't over-indulge.
  • Tummy- Congratulations!! That is so awesome. Have an absolutely fantastic time on your trip!

Glutio- positive thoughts headed your way for your husbands interview.

Last night MIL said to wake her up when I got up in the morning. I offered to do so right after I finished my morning workout and she offered to do it with me. I was kinda happy about it, some support would be nice. When I am doing a workout from a dvd I'm more likely to cheat and give up early, but if someone is there with me of course I won't. I will hold that pose until I fall over! But i went to wake her up this morning, I got an okay and went to put my shoes on, waited about 10 minutes, then when back to check on her. I tried again, she said sorry and that she was getting up. I turn on and cue up the video, wait another 10 minutes. Nothing. I go back again and she says no thank you. Ugh. So by the time I actually go back and start the workout I am tired and wanting to go back to sleep. I made it through the workout but after a bunch of drama last night, not much sleep, TOM, gaining .7 and the delay on the workout I am not in the best of moods today. But the last thing I want to do is feel better in food, so that is good.

Yesterday was awesome though, my pants have been feeling looser in the waist, I thought it was just because I was wearing them so much between washings, but I washed and dried them yesterday, put them on and omg, they were still loose! Heck yeah! haha. Okay, well I hope everyone has a fantastic day!
  • Hi Girls!
Can't stick around long if I want to actually get a workout in today .

Tummy: congratulations! have fun on your trip!

Ms. P.: Glad to see you back

Glutio: Good luck to your DH and you enjoy your trip.

CMo4: Hi, I missed you! And you actually managed to lose a bit, not too shabby

Gekster: Argh! with your MIL, I think what you need right now is lots and lots of patience. Woohoo on the panties for the lose pants though!

OK, that's it for me, gotta go sweat some and then I am meeting a friend to go visit the Botanical Gardens which I've never been to.

    See you all later!

Ya know at 5:30am it isn't terrible, like it is now...but it was a bit sticky. So far no nap...had to balance my checkbook. Yuck!!! It wasn't pretty.

I can't quite wrap my head around it either...maybe that is why I didn't sleep well last night too.

Thanks for all the crossed fingers, but this is gonna have to be dealt with the good old fashioned way and soon since I want to reach my June goal SO BADLY!!!

Congrats on ONEDERLAND TummyGirl! Way to go!
  • T_Girl, CONGRATS on making goal and hitting ONEderland!!

I am also saddened by the deaths of FF and MJ. I was a huge fan of Michael Jackson's and I'm just shocked. My daughter is such a big fan that the ringback on her phone is BillieJean, and all she listens to in her car is MJ's number 1 hits CD. Her friends have always teased her, since they listened to more current artists, yet last night they were all calling her. She and I had hoped to catch him in concert someday, especially since there had been talk that he might eventually have a Vegas show. It's hard to believe he's gone.
