  • Hi All, a crazy hectic 2 days, visiting my Mom and hair appt.
Jacqui Wow it looks like you are handling those Pumpkin temptations well!
SeemyFeet Thanks for the recipe--it looks really good, esp for fall & winter. I've never combined split pea with tomato--looking forward to trying it I'm with Jacquie re swimming, hate to mess up my high maintenance hair. And I can't take breaths when I swim--- probably too scarred from really mean swim teachers when I was a kid. The community pool was so nice and warm tho, and I may give it another go this winter, even pool walking would be good. Anyhow, Good on YOU, I would definitely give yourself props each & every time!!!!

Carol, your butternut squash can last a super long time--I've had them for months, un cut, unpeeled. Even once I peel & cube it, it keeps pretty well in the refrig, and i have even frozen the raw cubes. I think the Crusted recipe would be good with sweet potatoes too.

Eating yesterday was wayyyy out there. Dang, I was picking up momentum with wt loss. Today I will be merciful & skip weighing. Glad to be back on track now.
  • I got a big shock this morning. I got on the scale and the balance beam just sat there. Didn't even quiver. I thought something was broken, but here I moved it and I am down under 200 again! 199! Onderland again! I'm hoping that I keep going and continue to go lower. I didn't do anything to cause this. I am pretty much eating whatever I want, but I do know that my appetite has been somewhat reduced since I caught this cold.

Mars, when I bought my squash about a month ago I noticed that my DIL had 3 big ones on her kitchen counter. She uses it to make soup. The last time I was over there they were still there, so I guess she didn't make her soup yet. I want to make mine soon, but it seems like I'm always too busy to take the time all at once to do it. Mine is still good. One time I peeled and cubed one and froze it but when I sauteed it, it didn't turn out as well as when I cooked it fresh. I guess that's the way with anything.

Where is everyone? I am post # 500.
  • Thanks Carol Sue! Here's a link to the new thread: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/othe...ml#post5210816. Everyone check in please!
