rainy: YAY!!!!

You so skinny lady.

I'll meetcha back in the 160s in a few days....
Maddie: Hey, I feel ya lady. I'm sure you'll be back into the 150s in NO time! Stick around!
Reba:
Arghh!! I hate those plateaus!! Last time around with my weight loss, I hit a few. Sometimes all it takes is a change up of routine.... Like... Changing your exercise, or the type of food you're eating to shock the system. Ever tried that?
Riesz:
Good job!!! Rock that last 7 lbs right off the scale.
Dizzy:
Ouch for the torn muscle!!! well, I'm sure you'll be there before you know it... Just keep plugging away one lb at a time!! (164, damn woman!!)
Alicia:
You make me happy.

I like when you can see someone calmly go off plan without guilt or stress and acknowledge that it's not the end of the world, and things will keep going back down now. It's very impressive!!
Me:
Wow, whatta weekend. I went with a friend to visit her sister and the three of us dipped down into the states to go shopping. I'm going to Cuba in March and I wanted to hit up some American dollar stores in NY and buy a bunch of medicine, sunglasses, toothbrushes, soap, and deodorant to give away in Cuba to the locals since they have a hard time buying those things.
So... Neither of these ladies is health-focused. In fact, both are somewhat big girls, and they spent our time in the states buying junk food that they don't sell in Canada. When we went out for dinner, they ordered a huge plate of bacon cheese fries and steaks. We went to McDonalds for breakfast, and a Mexican food place the next day.
I have never exercised my will power more intensely than this weekend. I got chili and veg and potatoes instead of steak... I got a yogurt parfait instead of a sausage mcmuffin. I twice told them I wasn't hungry when I was desperate to join in on an eating-fest. That being said, I also ate some fries and some plain nachos. I had a cookie, and regular 7Up with my alcohol cause there was no diet...
I also agreed to go for an 8:30 am run this morning though with her older sister. It was a "learn to run" that she's just started, and I found it very easy, but it was calories out! I couldnt believe however that immediately afterwards, her and her friend took me to McDonalds. I was so confused by the contrast between such a healthy activity with such an unhealthy reward... And when I ordered the yogurt parfait, I got eye-rolling and "ugh, healthy..." comments from them.
Anyhow, I'm proud of myself for making a myriad of both good and bad choices, instead of just letting myself go crazy, and being lazy when the opportunity to workout was presented. Knowing that I'm being weighed in for the Toronto Weight Loss challenge on Tuesday is fairly instrumental in helping me say "No"...
Interested to see how I fared on the scale this weekend. Will weigh in tomorrow am when I haven't just had tonnes of liquid and see where I stand vs Friday's 171.8....
