Wow Loryivey, you were meant to ba a lawyer gurl. I stand corrected on the ramen BTW gotta ask. What is up with the avatar? No sista cartoons? This is WOC, you gonna confuse folks.

Today was a good day for me. I ate lots of veggies and kept my calories in check. And at the gym, i did an intense strength training group class. Wheew chile! The instructor was very good looking but it's difficult to lust after someone who is trying to kill you. Ya man came in talkin about, "we're gonna start with 200 jumping jacks" .you can imagine how it went from there.

Not in the mood to even cook now so I'll just have a bowl of cornflakes for dinner

Nighty Night!

I haven't had a smooth night in weeks. Though I have been staying my points for the most part I have been eating whatever. I think I am bit down because I am scared my fiance "just ain't right for me". Anywhoo.....gotta get my butt to the gym today. I am 30 miles from my goal of 500 miles this year and I need to get crackin!

Dips - I eat ceral a lot for dinner...but mostly out of pure laziness

Lori - Lawyer indeed. LMBO. "While I agree with your general point, I must say that there were in fact both 3g fiber and 8g protein in my noodles. Additionally, ramen (Indomie brand, at least) contains a significant amount of both Vitamin A and Iron. LOL" Lawyer indeed!

My avatar is Konata Izumi from Lucky Star, a Japanese anime that I LOVE (I'm a total otaku). It is a "Seinfeld" style anime (a show about nothing) about 4 high school girls.

Cake, I am so impressed with your 500 mile goal! That is awesome!!! You've got it in the bag, at the rate you're going!

Ugh, gotta get ready to go out of town. Toodles!

Hello ladies!

I feel ok today Im back to counting calories! my calorie limit is 1500 per day. I am praying that i stick to it. I have to plan all my meals though I know thats the key.

I just feel so sad because Ive let all my hard work go to waste Im so sick of talking about losing weight and I start off really well and then lose site of the whole thing. I really want it for myself I dont want to be super thin I just want to be healthier. SOmetime I wish I had someone that lived close to me to workout with me walk and talk to for support. Dont get me wrong this site is great but working out is ok but it would be so much better if I could talk to someone who understood. Its really hard I know I could lose weight for free but Im seriously thinking of joining WW to attend the group meetings. Im a very social person and I think that may help with the motivation part. Im at the point where I have to try something else.

Welp, i started off... on the first and worked out for about 3 days.I was back to my old ways... school is out til Jan 11. Im going back home to NC to stay in my parents home in the country to free my mind and be alone for a while. While im there im just going to try to work out and focus on just eating right. I ve been looking at Medifast and Im thinking I can do that but Im thinking Ill just saty Raw and transition to to whole foods... I always lose weight really well when im raw.

As for the breakup part.. i must have talked him up.. he has been calling lately, i pick up bc i actually do want to talk to him and we can actually have a convo without talking bout our past relationship... Im actually seeing that he isnt the one I wanna be with... but then again Im torn...

On a happier Note, i bought this dress(like i have so many times) for some motivation... I love it.... I paid alot for it...I GOTTA LOSE THIS WEIGHT...

Hey, Where did everybody go?

Okay so another season of "The Biggest Loser" ended and a whole new set of people lost like 200 pounds and i'm sitting here wondering why i can just dropp 40 in 3 weeks

Well i am down two pounds this week so i guess I'm on my way, huh?

Cake- 30 miles before the new year? That is quite a goal. Go for it girl!

Matilda- Don't quit on us. You have to dig deep and just do it!

Alexxus- pretty bold buying the dress in advance. I wouldn't even have th guts to do that. Now you gotta earn it girl.

Loryivey- So you're one of those anime geeks, huh. That's so cute. where out of town are you and how long will you be away?

Ok ladies...going to the gym in the am so I gotta go to bed now.

Toodles from NY freezing my butt off!

Dips'n'twists About the biggest loser I sometimes say the same thing then reality sets in. They workout about 5 hours a day and have a trainer yelling and screaming at them all the time.

Think of it as a false positive. If it wasn't for the show they would sill be the same.

Don't get me wrong I like the show but like I said they train for hours.

Very true, i am well aware of how very controlled the environment is and that the contestants are in an unrealistic situation, however I think the show is very important because if nothing else it proves that weight loss for even the morbidly obese is possible without surgery, diet gimmicks, etc.

It also provides motivation for the rest of us. Which is why I feel a whole new drive to get healthy.

Hey all! I was in the NY/NJ area, but I'm back in DC now. I am totally an anime geek! LOL I have a 21y.o. brother, so I share a lot of his habits and interests. He got me into one mystery anime called Death Note and a comedy about a school club called The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and since then I've been an otaku through and through. Probably watched more than he has; my ringtone is actually a Japanese song! LOL

re: Biggest Loser - I don't like that show. I just haven't gotten into it. I don't like the sensationalism and feel that it discourages as many people as it motivates. If you are 300lbs and eat 1300 calories a day while you're burning 6000 per day, you'll lose tons of weight, but in reality, most people can't stay motivated to eat 1300 calories, much less to do that WHILE exercising at all. I also don't like that they allow the contestants to do cutting diets to dehydrate for final weigh ins. I think it should be based on body fat percentage, not weight.

Well i say if they base it on body fat then every one should weigh the same or something... i think it kinda makes it unfair if they dont start off at atleast the same weight or body fat percentage....
Yea i know i was bold... to be real i have tons of things in my closets that i have bought that i knew would not be in the store when i got small....

the only reason i like biggest loser is bc it gets rid of the whole 2lbs per week stigma. i ve have always felt like as long as its healthy thwn youre good... psychologically i feel that losing weight quick will make you put it on quick... bc you havent had enough time to make the healthy lifestyle... a LIFE style.. and a habit... BUT i have always thought it was ok to lose more than 2lbs a week.....

right now im in sc... chillin.. im starting back on the working out on monday...im going to be home and at home is like the biggest loser ranch... my dad runs like 10 miles a day and im held accountable for everything i eat... so i think ill be ok.... heres to some weight loss.
