Angie here again: Gary's surgery went well. He was back in his room about 2 hours after surgery. Thank you so much for all your prayers. I will update you as I get more information.

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE, ANGIE ~ PRZ GOD -- that's great news to hear; sending up ^prayers^ for a speedy recovery; and healing well with not too much pain, nausea, or sore throat (the pain meds helped as did sucking on ice chips) ...

THANKS, EVERYONE -- for your continued prayers; just had a bit of nausea today but it only lasted for a few minutes at a time. Sent up prayers and it went away quickly. The first day the food had a mild tinny taste at first but that cleared up fast. Yes, I do have to take it easy as that can cause my temps to rise falsely.

I baked a banana tea loaf this afternoon; and for dinner am making a family favorite recipe "Tomato Patties" (2 oz HM hamburger patties stewed in chopped tomatoes w/juice & onions), which we will have with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and a frozen niblet corn/green bean combo. BIL is peeling the potatoes ...

BARGOO ~ I totally agree; gonna TRUST GOD for just one-day-at-a-time ...

Thank you for the prayers for my niece. She still doesn't have a diagnosis (waiting on lab results) but she's feeling much better with lots of sleep and IVs to keep her nourished and hydrated.

It is Gary's birthday today. Gary, I wish you the best birthday possible in the hospital. I pray that God will be present and will grant you complete healing. God Bless You, my Christian brother.

Malia Grace Miller arrived today on her grandpa's birthday. 7lbs 15 oz, 20". She's beautiful!
Gary is doing as well as can be expected after major abdominal surgery. He will be in the hospital at least a week. He looks better each day.
