    Hi all,
You work too hard HS but walking your puppies is very healthy, unfortunatly my yorkie hates walking in bad weather, he jumps up and expects to be carried if it is wet or too windy!! lol so not much exersice in bad weather.

Hope you get your work enviroment sorted out HS sounds pretty unhealthy.

  • Hey Ladies

well finally after 2.5 years the batteries in my scale DIED...yes, this was an amzingly GOOD thing though...2 WHOLE weeks I went without weighing myself...let me tell you how absolutely wonderful it felt...and darn it, we went and bought new batteries and again I find myself running to the scale every morning...BUT, only once a day...so that is definitely an improvement.

and after 2 weeks of not weighing myself, I found I was down 1 lb to 110lbs...what the heck!! We started doing " the abs diet and workout" to help chisel our abs ( my problem area) and so far it is greeeeeeeeeeeeeat!

    Hope everyone is doing well...

  • Congrats Leanne! Is having your batteries like going thru withdrawal when you quit smoking?lolol I have never smoked but I know friends who have and quit and their first two weeks were horrible...

What is the "ab diet & workout"? My tummy has never been the bad part.,..its my butt and thighs...but that goes without saying for the Italian in me and me being a former runner and a horserider....That's where us riders go first...Have you ever seen what happens to pro figure skaters if they don't stay in shape!!! OMIDOG!!! They have these tiny upper bodies...and these unbelievably HUGE butt and thighs...from allt he muscle going to flab....scary scary...I've just gone to flab kinda everywhere!Lol

Well I'm off for OT again...why do I do this??? THey always come to me and con me into it...but I only work one day next week...Tuesday...then I'm off for 6 DAYS!!!!!

    Hope to see everyone!!!

    Michwele
  • Went for an awesome walk yesterday with the dogs..took my camera and got some great pics...out for about 2 hours tramping through the countryside! Eating was good, exercise GREAT..water Great!!

    Hope to see everyone soon!
  • The easiest way I can describe the abs diet and workout, is that it is designed to help acheive a 6 pack...but the workout is a combination of cardio and weight training with an emphasis on abs 2-3 days a week ...the workout is great, because weight training is what I have been lacking..and now I have stricture to my workouts and I am loving the workout and results thus far...now the diet is BLAH...but I have taken some of the principles from it, and am giving it a shot...so after just over a week, I have a 4 pack....hahaha...but, because I have had kids I have that pesky mommy area that needs tightening and seems to be doing so....so overall it really isnt so bad.

HS- great job...and OMG, my friend next door is an ex figure skater, which I found out only recently, but she has the EXACT thing you were talking about, and she explained to me that is why she is very bottom heavy...who knew eh? this was a first for me...when I was little I irish danced, and the leg muscles I had when I was 9 never went away....(thank god , now I love them)

anyways, hope everyone is doing well...

    Leanne
  • Hello everyone.

Sorry about not checking in sooner.

The great guy that I have been in love with for the last 20 years broke my heart last week. Told me that he loved me and my girls but didn't feel like we were meant to be together. Wrote this in an email after we had a great weekend together. I am just crushed. Thank God for my girls or I just feel like I could die. How do you ask someone to spend the rest of your life with them and then break up with them in an email, an email!

Not going to change my weight tracker but I have lost five pounds over this.
  • Oh gees flower...I am so sorry to hear that...especially in an email...that is despicable...but don't dwell on it...use it as a stepping stone to move on....

Leanne...hehehe that the thing with me being a health science student (even tho it's for horse) I've learned all about hte human body and animals and what happens...we have a type of horse shown called "halter horses" they are kinda like a cross between a bodybuilder and a moviestar...they have to have the looks of a moviestar but the body of a weightlifter...trainers put these horses on treadmills, aquacisers, all sorts of things to build up their muscles...once they stop showing, if they don't maintain consistent good diet and exercise turn into big fat obese blobs of horseflesh...just goes to show how the human world has imposed itself on the natural kingdom!

I'm starting my vacation....it's lovely day..cold but sunny!

    See everyone later!
