DAD's COLON TUMOR SURGERY -- is scheduled for ??? (we haven't heard otherwise); so we are praying for peace for him for the "colonoscopy" surgery tomorrow. EDITED; EDITED; EDITED. (Note: my DAD finds this just as bad as any other surgery; and I understand that). I know all our family will be on their toes until we hear that he is OK for the tumor surgery (which we think will be in October now), just like they were for mine last December. THANKS for all your faithful prayers for my family; they are so needed, and so appreciated too!!!

WHOOPS -- CANCEL that message; I decided to call to check just in case and turns out that tomorrow is for pre-op TESTS like the colonoscopy mentioned above (gee, I faintly recall this happening last time too). Well, you know his memory is good for his age but there was some miscommunication there. I don't know the tumor surgery date; but will let you know when I know ... yes, I definitely recall this happening last time too ... Thanks for your understanding ...

Also, my sister is concerned that GRACE wants to drive my DAD for the surgery which will be in SUNNYBROOK HOSPITAL IN TORONTO, so she is going to try to get them to let my BIL drive them. (I was hoping they would go ahead a day and take a hotel room; but not sure my DAD would want to do that.) We'll pray my DAD won't be too stubborn. I wonder if he just wants to make sure they have a car there so he can escape as soon as he wants to leave ... yes, I'm sure that is right. I know my DAD and hospitals (not a fan for sure).

PRAIZE REPORT -- THANKS TO GOD and for all our prayers everyone; my blood pressure numbers were down by 30 points today (from 167 to 137). Isn't that great? All the measures I have been taking have been helping too, I'm sure. Thank GOD for His wisdom in that area: prayers, psalms, devotions, positive scriptures, songs, TRUSTING GOD; early to bed, help for DH, and eliminating some troublesome people from our lives, and walking every night after dinner, all have worked together for good for this fab result.

I am wearing a monitor for 24 hours to see the consistency but it has been staying low all day and evening so I am so elated about that. THANKS once again for your prayers concerning all these matters ...

PRAISE REPORT -- THANKS to GOD and you all for your prayers; I kept tabs on my blood pressure levels and they went right down to a good normal range. The last reading was 126/69 on Friday; that is fabulous!!! So all the de-stressing measures and prayers have helped for sure; and my muscle pain is getting better each day too. I think part of it was also caused by a stomach bug that DH and I caught over the last 1-2 weeks. I have been resting and doing nothing strenuous at all. THANKS once again, friends ...


EDIT2ADD: Will be getting a cat scan & blood tests on Monday, October 7th (hope all is clear); and will be seeing my oncologist on the 17th as well for the followup & checkup & results. We are praying for positive results for all. Would sure appreciate your prayers about that too; thanks!


ALSO, MURRAY JAMES has gone home to be with our LORD: he was a devout Christian; and he and his wife, LINDA, ran the bible studies at their church. Before he passed over, he asked her to continue on that work in their church. May GOD grant her and their family peace & comfort at this time; and strength to continue that good work as well. Murray was such a nice, gentle man; and I know he is rejoicing in perfect health in heaven above ...

Saw my oncologist yesterday , he has changed my meds hoping to change my side effects, hope he is right. He has also ordered a Cat scan to see if Cancer has spread, it has already spread twice, my prayer is that it has not spread further, Thank you Saints for all your prayers.

BARGOO -- yes, sending up prayers that your new meds will work even better than the others, and with less side effects; plus prayers for peace and comfort and strength as well.


We went to BIL's church today and met some of my prayers warriors there (from their prayer chain group who have been praying for us diligently). I was glad to finally meet them and was able to thank their new pastor for all their prayers too.

THANKS & PRAISE GOD -- that my DAD is doing well and feeling good. He tooks his steroids and gravol pills, and that helped him keep his weight up and he has good strength right now. May that continue for him all the way through up to his surgery and during recovery as well.

I have a couple requests if you all get a chance to pray a bit. DH found out that there will be a maintenance opening at his plant-they're adding a job as the current maintenance man seems to be 'unable to keep up with such a heavy workload'---if he would get his butt out of the office and his feet off the desk, he would be able to, but he also has been promoted to a job beyond his skill level, so he just doesn't do it. Anyway, this is the job DH has wanted for many years, but is unsure about having to work with this current employee every day, so he needs prayer that he would know whether to even apply for the job and, if offered, whether he should take it.

Also, lift up a few prayers for a classmate/teammate of DS3. In the football game on Saturday (had to be postponed from Friday due to lightning), Levi broke his leg very badly. He had surgery Saturday afternoon/evening, involving a plate, screws, and cadaver bone to repair-it had been completely dislocated at the knee with a compound break of the fibula. He's home from the hospital and can return to school on Wednesday in a wheelchair, but will need prayer for complete healing. He used to go to youth group with our DS, but has fallen off, so maybe this will be something that will motivate him to return.

THANKS TO GOD & EVERYONE HERE -- our trip and the tests all went well today. We left extra-early as I couldn't sleep anyways; whenever I know I have early appts., I have trouble sleeping becuz I know that I have to get up. It is kind of an internal alarm clock; good thing for that, as the desk alarm didn't go off like it was supposed to.

BARGOO -- PRAYERS your Cat Scan will have good results too (all clear); I did mine and my blood lab tests today. PRAISE & THANK GOD for the safe trip there and back today!!! I see the doctor next Thursday (the 17th) for the results. I hope that I sleep better tonight, esp if DH stops snoring so much; I will encourage him to sleep on his side, as he doesn't snore as much that way.

RONNIE -- prayers going up for LEVI for both comfort and a quick healing; and for your DH concerning this job opportunity.

PRAYER REQUEST: for SANDY, my sister's SIL from her first marriage and the kiddies' aunt. She is in a coma right now and the doctors feel she has no brain activity. They think she had a stroke just after dinner last night. Prayers needed for her sons and all the family (esp the young ones: nieces and nephews, who are taking this hard). Aunt Sandy is only in her fifties and this is the second sister in the same family to go young (when & if GOD decides to take her home, that is). Another sister, Brenda passed from a heart attack doing a stress test; a real shocker for the whole family. PRAYERS for COMFORT AND PEACE FOR ALL is greatly appreciated right now; thanks, warriors!

We found ways to deal with the snoring issue: if DH lays on his side or stomach, he doesn't snore; plus if he breathes out of his mouth, he doesn't snore then either. So we have options -- yeah!!!

PLEASE PRAY that DH's and my cold/flu clears up soon; it is more congestion, fatigue, sneezing, and running noise than anything. The breathing thing is the most disconcerting for us both though. We ask for clear, clean lungs Father; in Jesus' name we thank you ... Amen.

Rosebud, I trust you have had your CAT scan, do you have the results yet ?

I was wrong when I said I was going to have a CAT Scan, I am actually going to have a PET Scan. I will have that Friday this week.

BARGOO -- Yes, I had the CAT Scan and the blood tests done on Monday; so we wait until next Thursday, the 17th for the results (we see the oncologist/ doctor and his team at that time). Thanks for your prayers; we're praying your PET Scan goes well and that you'll have good results too ...

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS FOR AUNT SANDY -- they took Sandy off life support yesterday, and she passed away today. WE thank GOD for his mercy & grace for Sandy and her family. Prayers for peace & comfort for her sons (families); and all her nieces & nephews & siblings, etc who loved her so.

PRAYER REQUEST : for my sister & BIL. Two satellite companies have ripped them off in the last 1-2 years. First, SHAW, took $800.00 in monthly services charges when they had no house (remember, it had burnt in a fire); even though, they were told right away to cease the service becuz the house was gone. They refuse to credit them their money and the workers just say ... "too bad". I will never hook my satellite up on my house becuz of all of this.

Another company "XPLORENET" left their dish on a rented house they lived in; and even though they were told that if they wanted the dish they''d better come and get it as the house was being sold (they said "no problem, we'll come and get it" but they didn't). They still haven't gone and taken it off the house.

We believe they are just mad that the new owner didn't sign up with them so they want it back. Instead of contacting the new owner of the house, they are harassing my sister & BIL who were just temporary renters over 2 YEARS AGO to pay for the dish (which is still on the house). This is ridiculous. All satellite companies I know of either leave the dish there or just go get it, if they want it.

Long story short, they claim they sent a bill to the creditors even though they don't owe them anything for anything, as the account was PIF and closed over 1.5 years ago (the LORD put it on my heart that this all may be a bluff). SHAW already took their money and won't give it back (calls have no effect); and XPLORENET says that my BIL has to go get the dish for them or pay for it! WHAT??? Please pray that GOD will show them what (if anything) they should do in these two situations.


ANOTHER URGENT REQUEST: apparently DH went for a walk without telling anyone he was going; please pray BIL will find him quickly. THANKS!!! EDIT2ADD: THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS: BIL found him down the road after my DAD spotted DH, and told him where he was; praise GOD!
