  • Yay Wezi! Good for you! Great job!

I caught the name "Branson." I spent a lot of time hanging out there when I was in college, except then it was a one main street town with one Dairy Queen down at the end of the street. I went to College of the Ozarks my first two years of college (except back then it was School of the Ozarks as it had started out as a high school, and I was there the year the last graduating class of hs seniors went through and the first class of college juniors... who graduated my sophomore year! Brings back memories.

I also grew up around the St. Louis area... in Gray Summit and Villa Ridge and out in there!
  • Good Sunyday morning everyone.

Nancy - No, I do not live near Austin. I live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex which is quite a bit north of there. You are right that UT-Austin has a great business school though, particularly accounting. I am fortunate that in the metroplex there are several universities to choose from. I am leaning towards UT-Dallas because it is only 15 minutes from my office and 20-25 minutes from my house. It's also got all the right accreditations so that is good. You're right about it being expensive to get an MBA. At UTD, if you are a resident of Texas, it costs you around $24,000. I am not sure if that includes books or not. I looked at some of the books that would be required and some of them cost $300!!!!! Man, things sure have gotten alot more expensive since I got my bachelor's degree!!! But since I will be doing it part time, it will take me a minimum of 3 years to finish (probably more) so that spreads the cost out, not to mention the tuition assistance I will get from my company. You should check your company's policy. Alot of company's offer it as a benefit, they just don't advertise it very well. I guess they are afraid someone will actually USE the benefit!!!

Heather - Thanks for the welcome back and the encouragement.

Katt - I am so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your friend. And my thoughts are with your sick nephew.

Misti - Thanks to you too for the welcome back and encouragement. I see you are still rocking with the water aerobics. It's great you have that deep water class to work you out! I never could find a deepwater class anywhere near where I lived.

Patti - From the looks of your ticker you are making progress. Good job!

wezi - Well done on the 4 mile WATP! I didn't know they even had a 4 mile one. I own the 1,2, and 3 miles ones. Right now 2 miles is about the most I am doing. I'd love to work up to 4 though! How long is the workout and is it much different from the other WATP's?
mechelle - I understand your doctor anxiety well. I was so scared to go back to my gyno after having gained 100 pounds in a year. The good doctors will want to help you, not judge you.

As for me, I went shopping at Lane Bryant yesterday for some new work clothes and for an outfit to wear to my grandparent's 60th anniverary party later this month. After that outing, I KNOW I have to be back to my starting weight because the size 24 pants were too small. It was so distressing. I was down to a 22 and apparently I am now in a 26. I didn't try the 26's though. I just bought the 24's and am going to look forward to fitting into them in a just a couple of weeks.
