Two miles this morning. DH 'let' me run this morning and took care of DD. I ran pretty fast for me, at least lately, as well, 11min/mile. I got most of the 2 miles and had one small walk break near the end--my HR just got over 180 and I had to rest for a minute. It was a beautiful morning, moon was bright, coyotes were singing, temps in the low 50s--I could actually see my breath fog up in the moonlight. Very nice.
Helen, do you have a headlamp? I run with one when I run in the dark. I got it a few years back when I noticed there were lots of dead snakes on the road in the mornings--I decided I didn't want to accidently run into their friends as they warmed themselves on the road. I've never actually seen a snake with it (well, a live one), but it does help pick up potholes and such and makes it easier for cars to see me. I also figure it helps the mountain lions to know that I'm not a deer, which is a GOOD thing. I'm guessing you wouldn't have that issue!
