  • Add me to the oily skin club. I absolutely cannot stand to wear liquid foundation as it makes me feel like my face is sliding off. Not to mention, after an hour, it already looks awful. I started using Bare Escentuals makeup a few months ago, and I will now sing it's praises from the rooftops. It feels so light on, and I don't have any slippage problems like I've had with every other makep that I've tried. It is quite an investment up front, but I find that I use less makeup to get better coverage. Hopefully this means that it will last a long time. The biggest key, I think, is their brushes. Invest in them; don't skimp and buy cheaper ones.

I wash my face with MD Formulations Facial Cleanser for oily and problem prone skin, and use their Glycare Lotion (like a toner) before putting on my makeup. My skin looks better now than it has in ages, even without makeup on.

I also read somewhere about putting milk of magnesia on your face to block oil from seeping up through your makeup. I thought it was crazy until I tried it, but it really works. After I use the Glycare Lotion, I pour MOM onto a cotton square and wipe a thin layer all over my face. Eight hours later, my makeup is still on my face and barely has any shine to it at all. Just make sure to get the original MOM and not mint or cherry

I did that play last year...it still haunts me.

I played the part of Clairee in 1999...and I still quote lines from it! One of those things that will be engrained in me forever, I reckon....
