It is quite frustrating--the more you weigh, the more you have to lose to tell a difference! 100 pounds from 400 is 25% of their weight, so it would be about the same as someone weighing 200 losing 50 pounds (to 150)--you'd probably notice a difference, but it might not be super-drastic, ya know? I'm sure there is a difference in you with a 100-pound loss but you don't see it because you look at yourself every day. I'm sure others notice more than you do. Originally Posted by heather_dw

I've had the same frustration. I talk to some people who lose 10-20 pounds and go down pants sizes, but I lost 40 pounds (from 310 to 270) and didn't budge a size! I know it's just because I'm bigger to begin with. The paper towel theory worked really well for me--think of a roll of paper towels. We are starting out a very big rolls, so taking off just one paper towel at a time doesn't make much difference in the size of the roll. If the roll only started with 10 sheets and you tore one off, it would make a noticable difference! So, the smaller we get, the faster it will seem to make a difference--all the more reason to keep on truckin'!
