  • hello, my name is Donna and I am 26 , married, no kids and live in Indiana. I have been on weight watchers for about 11 weeks and have lost 18 pounds, but gained 1 pund back this week, ugh! I wanted to try the boot camp thing, but just don't have that much will power. So, my mini goal is just to stick to my ponts, do some exercise 3-4 days a week and drink my water, and to take this one week at a time. I watch a four year old too, but i feed him healthy stuff so i can eat the same things, not make 2 meals. My usband, who doen't need to lose weight, loves the recipes out my ww cookbooks, and is very supportive of me. It's nice to know that there are others like me out there!!
    Bye,
    Donna
  • hello
    hello everyone...today 5/13/05
I have been reading the posts on this thread, I would love to join the group... I am 42 years old with 3 children 21,14,12. So in essence im stressed to the max. while my children are not babies anymore, they are growing up way to fast and teens have there own stages that we go through. well today has been very trying for me...i decided to just take some me time and read the postings on this site. I could really use some inspiration, I has a hysterectomy about 2 months ago and have gained aprox 40 lbs since last summer....im really depressed and crabby...I think getting some of this weight off will help alot. I have been on the oprah site and i really would like to commit to doing this.
    thanks

  • Welcome Tammy and Donna! We're glad that you're here!

Donna--your goals sound very doable! Great job at narrowing down your focus to what you really want to accomplish.

Tammy-- Recovering from surgery is hard on the body and the mind. It takes a long time to heal, and even longer to get back to "normal." You are doing great to think of what will make you feel better. We're here for you along the way.

I went out to dinner tonight with my drinking buddy. She's my only single friend, and therefore, about the only one who is available to go out to dinner or out for drinks. We have a lot of fun together. It was good to get out for girl talk time. I ate more than I would have at home...but that's to be expected when going out for dinner at a restaurant. But, I made great choices, and feel good about it.
  • Marie--I hope that you're feeling better!! It's so hard to stick to a plan when you're feeling rotten. I love your signature line! It's so cool. Did you make that yourself?
  • Welcome Tammy and Donna!
    So glad you are here!

Marny - thank you...yes I made it myself...just playing around one day and figured it out. I'm feeling worse than I've felt from this cold so far...geez...it's got to get better...I hope. It's so frustrating to be so motivated and not be able to work out!
  • thanks marie...

    hello marney,
thanks for the understanding.... what part of ca are you from? i am originally from anaheim...moved to wi 7 years ago...dh is out there right now...comming home sun pm. well i did not do so good today...started ok...but was so hungry by lunch time that i went to the diner here and just ordered, and did not give it a second thought. after i get home from work tomorrow...im going to go shopping so i have what i need at home....
    I WILL DO BETTER TOMORROW.
    take care
  • oops!
I messed up!! We went to a demolition derby last night, (my husband runs in about 6 a year,) just to watch, and they had my absolute weakness in fair food, the funnel cake. I got one, but didn't eat it all, but still, it was so, so bad for me!! I payed for it last night though, it mad me sick to my stomach. I guess all the grease. But, I am going to pick up and keep going, because I won't give up just because I screwed up!! Today, so far I have been very good, and after supper, I'm going for a walk with my hubby around the ball park 4 or 5 times, so maybe I can burn some of it off!
    Bye,
    Donna
  • WELCOME TAMMY AND DONNA!!!

Tammy- I know that surgery can really throw your body off. I had just minor gall bladder surgery and I still trying to get back into the groove, and that wasn't even major surgery. Welsome! I am sure you will fidn lots of support here.

Marie- I hope you are feeling better. Colds are not fun, they can really drag you down.

Marny-Great Job on reaching your goal!!!

Donna- You are employing the right attitude. You may have slipped up but you are not letting it get you down....great work.

I did not meet my goal. I should have thought about it better b/c I knew I was going away and we'd eat out alot. I did better than usual, but I did not stay within my points. Next week I will focus on it again. I had alot of fun at my friends, but the kids ended up being REALLY sick. I will have to go to the doctor somehow tomarrow, with the kids I watch being here until 4 it's hard. And I was shocked to find that my husband installed the Pergo in my daughter's room. He NEVER finsihes ANYTHING and today he installed ALL of it, unlike my bedroom carpet which has all, but 2 feet the entire width, carpeted lol.

I will start a new week's thread now, so I don't forget tomarow. See you there!!
