  • Hi everyone,

In a marginally foul mood, so bear with me.

Its already like 65 here and 90% humidity. I guess its prepping me for Philadelphia in a few weeks.

Running around madly trying to get things done before I leave for Vancouver at 1. I for some reason like to leave with a tidy house, so I'm going home at noon to do that.

Since our homey neighbors moved in, I moved out all our sizable foreign currency into my safe deposit box, well, I hope I have to time to get some CAD dollars out. Oh well, if not, I'll hit the ATM on my way into Vancouver.

Susan --- as long as DH promises to vacuum, get the hors d'ouvres arranged and clean up afterwards, he can have as many guests as he wants over. Have fun on your run.

Melissa -- what is relay for life?

Domina -- Weeds are a pain, mulch, mulch, mulch, I say.

Pam -- If I don't check in again, enjoy your vacation!

Okay, I'm off, I went and met a friend's friend who is visiting from DC last night and had some of the best curried mussels for dinner. Yum. I love happy hour at foodie restaurants. Half off and really really yummy. However, my ring is tight today.

  • Lala, Relay for Life is a walk that raises money for the American Cancer Society. There are teams comprised of 12 members and each member has to raise $100 to walk. Gannon has 3 teams and I'm scheduled to walk in the early evening. It's a big event and some of the teams go all out with the theme, tents, etc. I was there last year for the luminary program and it's very moving. There are bags all around the track that have the names of those who have either survived cancer or honoring those that have died. I've done this for a number of years.

I was able to get a walk in over the lunch hour and it felt good. The rain is holding off and I'm hoping it doesn't reappear.
  • Hi Ladies,

Cloudy here today but I'm really hoping the weather next week is much better. We're leaving on Monday and will be returning on Saturday. Not too much planned for this weekend other than packing and a little cleaning. Since DH and my son are staying home I figured why kill myself cleaning since I'm sure I'll be returning to somewhat messy conditions.

Melissa I'm hoping the stress in your life soon goes away. I'm pretty much the opposite, when i'm stessed or sad I just can't eat. Glad the weather improved today in your neck of the woods. Hope you can get a nice walk in.

Susan and Domina I hope you both have a great weekend. Susan enjoy your drinks with friends!!

Lala I hope you get everything done at work and at home. Enjoy Vancouver.

Well, I won't be checking in next week but I'll be thinking of you and hoping your week goes well. Take care.
