Once again, shock of shocks

I am the first one here this morning.

And most of you all are in later time zones -- what's up with that? Haven't you all realized --
I am not a morning person! I thought we had talked about this before...
This is my Friday off -- I work 9 hour days to get every other Friday off. I actually stayed home sick with a migraine yesterday...haven't had one bad enough to keep me off work for several months. They've gotten worse in the last few years, but I think they are hormone-related. Cristi, I feel for you about the MRI. The doc wanted to do one to check out my migraines (since my dad died of a brain tumor, and my sister had a brain tumor removed, but it was benign). But I was so panicked about being enclosed in a box for half an hour I couldn't handle it. It would have felt like I was in a coffin!

I think if it had been absolutely necessary, they would have had to sedate me. But they ended up doing a CAT scan instead, and it was all open, and didn't freak me out at all. I'm glad your MRI is over, and I hope the doc is able to use the info to find out why your arm is causing you so much pain...and to fix it! Is the medicine you found for your fever blister called "Abreva"? It's a ridiculous price, but it really works like magic.
My oldest son, Erik, is on leave and visiting for a couple of weeks. He wants to go everywhere today -- Jamba Juice for breakfast, the game store, the mall, Chipotle to meet my husband for lunch -- so it will be busy busy busy -- as soon as he gets out of bed! I threatened to go in there an play "Revellie" on a kazoo if he isn't up by 8:30.

Erik is an artist, and there is a small art gallery in the lobby of my work. The exhibit this month is by two sculptors, who have some really wild and weird stuff I think he'll like...we'll try to swing by there, too, for a few minutes to check it out.
Susan, your outfit sounds like it's really cute! I love peasant-style clothes, 'cuz I'm totally a hippie at heart

And I just love

bargains like the ones you get at Ross. But what do you mean, you've never had a purse before! Are you kidding??? Where on earth do you keep your LIFE?!? You can't put keys and chapstick and gum and tickets and shopping lists and pens and receipts and cell phones and calculators and checkbooks and business cards in your SHOE!
Jana, your Neal sounds like such a wonderful, supportive guy. I know everyone's already told you this, but you two are such a cute couple

I haven't posted in a while and I was skimming through all the posts, and since your signature changes even on your older posts, I read "35 1/2 pounds gone" and I thought, "Wow, how long has it been since I've read the board???"

Seriously though, I agree with Neal -- you should most definitely count every single stick of butter you lost last year and kept off. You worked hard for that -- you are doing great and we are all very proud of you!
Marti, how are things in scrapbook/honeymoon land? Congrats to James for the RR job!!!

And good for you on your Accounting test score!
Hi to Rita, Angie, Shanna, Kayecee, Kat...

See you soon,
