  • Way to go Trazzie! Before you know it, you will be in a size 16, and they will be baggy! BTW, my 14 year old wants nothing to do with adults. One of her friends mothers died of alcohol related complicatons a few years ago, and didn't want me at the funeral. She said "you are so not cool"! I am sure your daughter will be ok in time.
  • A few of the girls in my oldest DD's girl scout troop said I was cool because I had tattoos and my ears were pierced multiple times. I went "uncool" and told her if that's how she judged cool then that was pretty bad. I wasn't sure if I was trying to educate her or insult myself
  • Theo's Girl: YAY!!! for being able to wear size 18!!! I am in size 20s right now and I cannot wait to say goodbye to the big two-oh's forever! Congratulations. I am so thrilled for you.

Shimma: Thanks!!! We both can do this!!! And cherish this time and your new love just as you are doing.

Hi Froufy!!! I am right there with you, scared of carbs. I will have to treat carbs as I treated cigarettes when I quit smoking and just stay as far away from them as possible!!! You can do this!!! It is so nice having people here who are going through the same things you are. If you want to email me or IM me for support, I'm here. Maybe we should have an Induction email list going out and about for support of all of us in Induction?!?!?!? Or we could try to meet in the Chat here?!?! I know I could use the additional support.

StarPrincess: YUM!!!! I am drooling over your menu! That sounds great.

Jane: You can use pork rinds as breading?!?!?! How??!!?

Trazzie: When I was in high school our valedictorian killed himself three weeks before graduation. MIT waitlisted him and he was terrified to go home and tell his father. All of us close with him turned inward and away from the parents not because we blamed them but because at this time we all needed our friends and peers. You already feel as if adults don't get you when you are that age... add tragedy to the mix and the feeling is worse. Good luck with all of this. I know this is so hard for you and your daughter.
