  • Follena: Water retention is an annoying and very real thing. Hope for a whoosh for you soon.

    Newlyn: You definitely should.

AriannaG: Good job coming back after a rough weekend. I bet that gain is all water weight and falls right back off again.

    ferretgirl: Stick with it.

Well, that was a surprise this morning. I never lose weight from the 1st to the 10th. The drop at the beginning of the week wasn't a surprise, because I had extra days off for the holiday, but the drop this morning WAS unexpected. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I bounce back up tomorrow, but for today, that is exciting to see. It also puts me officially past the point where I can mark off another minigoal. I've now lost more then 10 BMI from where I started. Yay!

  • Hi all, jumping in late. I've been maintaining at 146 (+/- 1.5lbs) for a couple of months now and ready to start losing again. In that time, I tore my ACL/MCL and was on crutches through the holidays. I also increased the exercise, and am at the gym about 4 days a week. It seemed like I was just getting into my routine and making some great fitness strides when the injury happened, but I've held onto the habit and dedicated the time to physical therapy, even when I could have done most of it at home. I'm feeling great (sore today) but really happy with all my baby muscles. Hope to back to running and snowboarding (how I injured myself) at the end of February. Until then, I am an exercise bike devotee.

I've adjusted my overall goal up a bit, just based on how I look/feel right now. I'm pretty close to my goal size and don't know if I really want to go below that. We'll see how I feel at goal. I should be able to hit that goal on my one year anniversary of starting my weight loss journey, April 1. I'm being pretty conservative with my monthly goal, as it's been harder to lose with all the weight training. Which is fine by me. Thanks for all the encouragement and camaraderie.

    Total Loss for Week Two:

I was very happy to see that number again this morning. It means I hung onto yesterday's loss. But more than that. I had to get up early today (plus tomorrow and Thursday) for work, so that number was almost 2 hours early, pre-bathroom. So I might actually be down a little more. I won't have a normal weigh in again until Friday, so we'll see where it comes in at then.

Won't have time for any personals this week, but wanted to say welcome back to SnowMama. Great job maintaining through your injury and keeping your good habits. That is an amazing accomplishment.

Totally going the wrong way but I weighed in 3 hours early, pre-bathroom. There's no reason for the gain other than that and water retention so I'll record it and hope for better tomorrow!
