  • Good Afternoon! It's another beautiful day in my neighborhood with sunshine and NO wind again today. It is cool and jacket weather. The squirrels are teasing Sonny; they come right up to the glass with their tails swishing in circles. I'm sure they know he can't get to them. We've been to the cabin and back, it is super quiet up there. Most of the shops and several bars/restaurants close for the winter months. We ordered carry-out chicken dinners a few miles from home so they were ready when we got to the restaurant. My kind of meal -- no cooking and no dishes to wash! I did use a metal fork rather than the chintzy plastic one. I could do some laundry and vacuum; from the fur bunnies it looks like the boys had a "discussion" while we were gone. Today would have been my parents' 73rd anniversary; doesn't seem possible they have been gone so long.

"Gma," I hope you are feeling better as the day goes along. I know, from riding in rental cars, there is a huge difference in car seats. That was one of the reasons we stayed with the Buick instead of the same size Ford. We didn't try an Expedition, or Lincoln equivalent, so maybe they do have wider seats. I don't ride in the back very often but I wish we had back seat warmers. We do have a heated steering wheel and I love that. Bob's farmer friend and wife were car shopping and he complained so many seats squished his bad hip. Sounds like your road trip was good.

I need to check my calendar and get my days in order for next week. I know Bob has a meeting tomorrow night, football on Tuesday, gift shop on Wednesday, Beth's on Thursday, and maybe home all day on Friday and Saturday, then church on Sunday.

Hope you all are enjoying a nice Sunday, and have time to check in.
