  • I thought that was the whole family pic.. but that was just the pic of DH and I! It is from our bio at our miata club!
  • Good morning!
Karen I love that picture of you, and although I have seen one of you (at the crochet web site, I think) I am always happy to see smiling faces! Thanks for posting it! Sorry that you are not feeling well with TOM......but it will pass (thankfully it does!) and I hope that the scale reflects the hard work you have been putting in.

As for me, I am in a better mood than last nite ( not too happy with Dh there...)- the house is quiet for now. I'm off for my walk and tomorrow is WI. I will be surprised if I lose this week-not that I have been all that off program- but my eating has been strange. And I think I am approaching PMS time too as I can feel a bit bloated.
Gotta go hang some wash and get a walking. Have a great day!
    Ginny
  • Good morning all!
Ginny sorry to hear that you are having some tense moments. Dh's know just what buttons to push don't they? Thankfully though they usually go through phases and come out of them quick enough, I'm here for you! I think you will see a loss tomorrow. If your eating has been good then that weight has to come off.
Karen, you are so pretty! It's funny how you always get an idea of what a person looks like in your head and mine never actually matches reality. But it's nice now to have a face to go with your name!
Well, my day is ok. My dh didn't have to be at work until 11 am so he let me sleep in. It was so needed. I've been having alot of vivid nightmares lately that wake me up alot at night. I know it's just hormones and the pregnancy but boy I will be glad when it's over. (the night mares that is) So sleeping in really helped me catch up on some sleep.
Today I don't have much planned. Just tinkering around the house and such. the weather is turning chilly today, we're suppose to be getting alot of rain soon. So I think the kids will be inside all day. Oh, I turned 30 weeks yesterday!! That's a huge milestone for me. My countdown has officially began now. How exciting!!
Well, got to get off here. Talk to you all later!
  • Hi!
Spryng- sorry to hear that you are having nightmares.......sleeping during pregnancy is an adventure to begin with (I used to miss sleeping on my stomach!) and then to get hormonally induced nightmares....... I feel for you! Glad that you got some extra rest and a quiet day to go with it! You deserve it . (congrats on making 30 weeks!)

Yes, I agree, Karen has such a pretty face.......and a nice personality to go with it!

Got my walk in (a wee bit too hot for me today- it was almost 80) - and my eating is a bit off but ok. I'm tired, mostly cause I have been too busy.
Gotta go get dinner on. Have a great nite!!!!!
    Ginny
  • Well, Here I am!

I didn't have the heart to post yesterday, cause I was a bit down in the dumps. We went for the ultrasound, and the baby is doing great, but the tech waited to long to see what the sex is and the baby decided to roll onto it's stomach and go to sleep. So we still don't know, but I am happy that things are developing fine! She did say that the baby weigh's about 12 oz. and has long legs. Anyway, I went for my DR.s appt. today, and told her what happened and she said that she'll try to get me in for another ultrasound next month!!!

Congratulation Spryng, on making 30 weeks, I'm officially over half way! Only 18 weeks and 6 days to go! Since we're having a scheduled C-section, we're going in at 39 weeks~if not before!?!
I totally relate to you, my dreams have been so crazy, and mostly upsetting since I've been pregnant. I won't miss that part a bit, and can't wait till they're gone.

Ginny, I wouldn't worry too much about your weigh in, you've been doing so... great, I just know you'll have a loss!!!

Karen, I have to say Ditto... you're a very pretty lady. And as for your gains, TOM can do that to you, and with a combination of your new workout scedule, I just know you'll be greatly rewarded after TOM is gone!

Well, it's time to go rest and get rid of this headache.

    TTYL
  • Oh mel! I'm sorry your little one wouldn't cooperate! But it's nice that your ob will schedule another one for another peek! With all three of my kids we've always found out on the first U/S but I hear alot of women say their babies were in hard to see positions. But hang in there... as fast as time is going by you'll be at your next ultrasound in no time and find out! But glad to hear everything else looked great. That's always a relief.
Ginny, I miss sleeping on my stomach too. But I'll be back on it in no time. The night I had my son I slept all night on my stomach, it felt so good! Hopefully things are settling down at your house and you are in better spirits tonight, if not then I am sending you a great big smile and HUG!
Well, my day has been long. I've been having lots of braxton hicks today and feeling tired. But I think it's because we ran out of bottle water (the tap here tastes horrible) and I haven't been drinking much water the past three days. But my DH brought some home tonight and I have been guzzling it like crazy since then and the BH has subsided. but the tiredness remains so I am going to bed early tonight to get some rest.
So I guess I will talk to you all tomorrow. Jackie I hope you are doing fine, haven't heard from you in a few days. Miss you! And Misty hope you are feeling well too. Have you made an appointment to see your doctor yet or know your due date? Can't wait for all that info!
    G'nite!
  • Good morning!

Melissa- I hope that you are feeling better- did you get rid of the headache? Sorry about your little one not cooperating- guess you have a strong willed child in there who is already asserting his/her will! Sounds like a healthy baby- moving around and all- and I do hope that he or she feels a little bit more kindly toward Mama next time you try to determine the gender!!!!!!!
And congrats on making it to the halfway point! Your pregnancy has gone quickly also- time flies with such happy news!

Spryng- hope that you are getting lots of water in today! You've had some hot weather in your area - and you really need to drink more water than you think for your health. So, I can nag you about that! (lucky you, I nag Jackie about stuff....now it is your turn!) Hope that you are not overdoing it- you have a right to be tired these days!!!

Speaking of Jackie.........and Michele (thanks for reminding me of them, Spryng!) we miss you. Hope that both of you are fine and just busy.

WI went well today- I lost 1.6#- but have now met my 10% initial loss. Next week I meet with the leader to assess my final goal weight. I snuck out for a 20 minute walk this am, before it got too hot.
I'd better go get dinner made to make the rest of this day easier.
    Have a great day!
    Ginny
  • Good morning all!
Ginny I just knew you would have a loss!! Congrats!! WW has been so gret for you! And thanks for nagging be about my water... I know it's important but our tap water is beyond horrible but now that we have gallons of spring water again I am getting my fill. I know with the weather being warm and all that I have to keep my water intake high because of my low blood pressure... so I am being good now. I did get a good nights sleep last night too... had some strange dreams... but nothing scary at least lol. So I feel much better today and I've even got my house cleaned already, now I just need to get some laundry folded and I'm done.
Well, I hope everyone is having a good day. Can't wait to see more posts later!
  • Hi,

Ginny~Congratulations on your weigh in and reaching your 10%! You're doing so great!!! I did get rid of that nasty headache finally, I think a lot of it was from stress. I've been having some anxiety attacks over the last week, and I haven't been getting my daily naps in either. I guess I need to stop worrying and go with the flow?

Spryng, aren't you the luckiest! I won't be sleeping on my stomach for a long while yet, what with having the c-section. You're right about the ultrasound~it'll be here before I know it. But I must admit, I am losing sleep over it~so please let time fly! I hope you're getting that water down, and feeling better! Could the lack of water cause BH, cause I've been having a few here and there already? Maybe we need to remind each other to drink up, cause I'm still not getting in as much water as I should, and I know our dear friend Ginny will help with that too!

I did get the next ultrasound scheduled today, it's 3 weeks from today! We decided to go on our own and just private pay, that way we say what gets done. So cross your fingers that our little one will be nice! And since I got that scheduled, I've been feeling more relaxed! So I feel like it was a good decision!

I guess I better get done with my laundry, Dh will be home soon!

    Have a nice evening!
  • Good evening!!!!!!
I came online to check on Ds's math homework assignment, and of course had to stop by and say hello!!

Melissa- that is great that you now have another appt for a sono. Now, have some chats with that little one, and tell him/her that with Mother's day coming, a really nice present for you would be to stay still during the test!!! (in the right position, of course!)
    Oh, and btw....drink your water!

Spryng- good for you getting the laundry folded (as we know you just love that job!) and getting the house straightened up. Take your time.......don't push too hard........you are in the 3rd trimester. Ok? (and drink your water too!!!!)

I'm just ecstatic- all the kiddies are home for Easter break and except for one short run tomorrow pm I am off for over a week!!!!
Woo hoo!!!!!! Guess I had better go get dinner on the table (it is in the oven). See ya tomorrow!
    Ginny
  • HI!
Just got on for a few secs.
Mel, yes lack of water will definitely give you BH contractions. dehydration makes for a irritable uterus. So if you start having alot of BH then drink drink drink and lay down and they should go away. I know that must have been what caused mine because I haven't had any today because of all the water I've drank.
Ginny so glad that your kids are all home and you will have the week off! You deserve it!
    Well, got to go!
  • Morning ladies~!

Ginny, I'm with you, I love whenschool is out, but with our weather days we used, Ds won't even get Good Friday off? As for me having a talk with my little one about the ultrasound, I'm hoping things will work out better this time, since like you said~it'll be only days before Mothers day and it'll also be just 2 days after my birthday! I have a really good feeling about this one though, but I'm going to try not to get myself too worked up over it~I did say TRY!?!

Spryng, Thanks for the water info, and what another great reason to make sure we get our water in!

I got up in such a good and relaxed mood this morning, and I'm thinking about going do a little baby shopping! I've been trying to hold off until after my shower, but I really want to do a little something!!!

    Have a good day!
  • You guys! Thanks for the compliments! But if you saw my face right now.. I have adult acne and it flared really bad... I am on Anti-Biotics (Oral and topical) as well as Retin-A. I feel like a 36 year old Teenager! I am calling a new OB/GYN to see if we can control my Endometriosis in some way other than Hormones... as That is part of my problem with my face...

I am doing well.. we have lots of rain here today and HAIL! I want spring! It is almost Easter and it is still raining! Sigh.. ok.. I feel better now!

I need to run cause I have an appt with the Allergist this morning. My prescrips ran out and I need them!!

    Talk to you all soon!
  • Good morning all!
Mel you may want to drink something like orange juice before your next U/S, that will help the baby keep active so you can see all his/her parts too. And another good thing about waiting is that the baby will be bigger and the "parts" more obvious, so you'll get an accurate U/S! But we are excited to hear all about it. Go do some baby shopping!! It won't hurt anything before your shower. Plus it will keep you busy and help pass the time. We are having our huge town wide yard sale this saturday and I plan to get up early and find some great deals on baby things, my shower is may 17 but I'm sure I'll be ok to get some clothes. I really need some anyway. But have fun!
Hi Karen! Sorry to hear about your acne. I know it seems like sucha trivial thing but it's not when you are grown. I've had my share of breakouts with this pregnancy (it's tapered off now) but I wanted to hide my face at first, it was horrible and no amount of cleaning or topical solutions were helping... but I guess my hormones have evened out some and now I don't have as many.
Well anyway.... today I don't plan on doing much. Some light cleaning and alot of resting lol. I hope everyone has a great OP day!
  • Hi!
Just a quick hello as I have a bored Dd and I have promised her a short bike ride. Got up early this am to take Dd (16) to school to leave for Florida for a week. She was a bit upset......not too bad though. What really upset her was when she woke up Ds to say goodbye and he actually told her that he loved her and would miss her. (they can fight like cats and dogs....usually do too! )
That choked her up. Other than that- I had to drive for 1 3/4 hours and am now officially done until after Easter break.

Melissa and Spryng- Drink that water!!!!!!!!! Karen- I hope that your visit with the allergist went ok. Funny- I had a Dr appt this am and got allergy meds too!

    Gotta scoot!!
    Have a great day!
    Ginny
