  • Wow!!!!! You were gorgeous and you still are, but it seems now there is a special twinkle in your eyes!
  • Just wanted to add that your gorgeous pictures (befores and afters) got me thinking about something. One of the things that we overweight gals always mention we won't miss when we lose weight is the comment, "You have such a pretty face!" The rest of the sentence, either said or unsaid, being "If only you would lose weight....."

For the first time seeing your pictures, it really clicked that maybe people are just paying a compliment when they make that remark, because large or small, your face really was/is beautiful. Of course, being thinner has tons of perks that you already know about, but for anybody still not happy with their weight, and thinking that people only say they have a pretty face because there is nothing else to say, it isn't true! You can be beautiful and overweight too. Hope this came out right.
  • That's a great story, thanks for sharing it! I always love reading those, it makes the successes so much more vivid and real!
  • Wow!!! Great job. You look wonderful. So happy, as you should be!!
  • wow thats awesome!!!

  • Wow!! Cheekbones! Wow! You look fantastic!

    Congratulations!!

  • You look amazing! Thank you so sharing your pics...it gives the rest of us that extra push we need. I hope you bought a ton of cute clothes (like that fab dress) and did the biggest happy dance ever
  • Congrats! You look so fantastic! Love all your photos! I cant believe you can fit your whole body in one leg of your old pants! WOW!

    How did you do it?

    What do your kids say?

Thanks! Calorie counting is my plan, and weighing food and being consistent are the "secrets."

Kids are kids... oblivious! My son sat there with his mouth hanging open when I showed him the pants picture.

Whenever I heard something like that, I did believe it was sincere (and thank you for the compliment btw!), but it's still "qualified" - does that make sense? Like if someone is super fit, but a "butterface," you wouldn't say, "you have a nice body" - would you?

I was never offended by it, but it is a little bittersweet.

I did have someone tell me a few months ago that she always thought I was pretty and if only I would lose the weight, and she was glad that I was doing it. That was a little weird to hear.
  • Girl you look hot!!! Awesome work!!
  • Great Job!
  • You look amazing!!

On the mini elliptical you mentioned.... was it this one?

If so how did you like it? I was looking for something to use inside while the weather has been bad and something like that would fit well in our tiny house!

Yep, that's the one! It gets the job done. It is plenty sturdy (I think the limit is 250 but it was fine). It can be a little jerky since the stride is short, but it is just a matter of getting into a good rhythm. Use it next to a wall or something at first because you will lose your balance!
