  • Good Afternoon, Flowers! It's turning out to be a warm and humid afternoon; I guess we are on our way to 90 degrees tomorrow. My morning at church went super fast. First thing was helping to count money and then trying to log into the computer on the secretary's desk. It wanted her password for the "office" site and I couldn't get in with the one she normally would use; the pastor finally called her and left a voice message . . . password for "office" is office. Well, duh, how was I to know? My password for what I had to do was the same as always thank heaven. Between selling tickets for two different luncheons and phone calls it took me all morning just to do what normally takes me less than an hour.

"Gma" -- I hope that Fortune is ok, and his food is staying down. What a mess to face first thing in the morning! Bob likes raisin bread; the last time he brought some home it had frosting dribbled on top. Needless to say it was a major mess cleaning up the toaster. Is Jack's day the same amount of hours just different times from summer to fall? Amanda's dad works 10 hour days June through August and then has Fridays off.

I need to change clothes and do some dusting and vacuuming that I didn't finish the other day. Have a nice rest of the day!
  • Good afternoon, ladies! A lovely smokeless day at 82 degrees but rain is a maybe later in the day. The fire is now 15% contained and while we aren't in danger from Irene, they are predicting torrential rain and that would sure help put the fire out.

My PT says no low impact water aerobics or water zumba for at least 6 months and maybe longer. We're switching to winter schedule the day after labor day so I guess I'll pick up a couple of deep water aerobics classes - no impact. I'm loving the Yoga and she approves of it for stretching my knee. Things seem to be going a little slower than we thought but today we did some very light leg weight exercises and the stationery bike.

Nothing happening today. Vacuuming and washing floors. I'm going up to sew shortly. Tomorrow is River Country Quilt Guild so that will be fun after working and exercising.

Faye, I hope Fortune is okay. You need one of those little lean mean cleaning machines to spot clean where he throws up. Does Thomas like his classes this year?

Jean, I hope your "work" goes quickly this day. It's hard to believe it'll soon be time to close up the lake cottage for winter.

Maggie, what are you making good today for dinner? That cookbook may not be available on the website, I think it is meeting room only. You are sure lucky to have Will. He can do so many things.

Gail, I hope you had a great, relaxing weekend with the girls.

    Have a great day.
  • Susan -- I don't want you to get flooded, but hope the rain will help put the fire out. I'm sorry about the 6 month wait for you to get back to Zumba and the class you enjoy so much. I'm glad the yoga works and great if you can get into a deep water class. You will have a busy day tomorrow, but know you will enjoy quilt guild. I'm not used to getting up and dressed so early . . . I'm ready for a nap!
