Whole heartedly agree! Look at my stats, my WI12 was .2. I was on vacation and hadn't seen my gf in a year. I decided to have ONE drink (after all, what can one drink do?). This diet is too strict and focused for me to have screwed up ONE WEEK for one drink! Total waste of energy of an entire week otherwise on OP.
When you have one drink your liver shuts down metabolizing your fat for energy and must metabolise your alcohol. So you MAY not gain, but you'll stall. You may not stall a lot but you'll have missed out on a few days of metabolizing some of your fat stores. On either side of that .2 was awesome WI's so really I potentially missed out on 3 lbs!
Not only that, you're adding the chance that you will cheat again. ALSO, there’s chance that you will eat everything in site while you’re drinking. Every time...EVERYTIME you do NOT cheat, you're exercising your "WILLPOWER MUSCLE".
Although I think the original thread was started for someone in May of 2011, I think what's been posted today applies today too.
FYI the .2 after WI12...I think WI#35 was a .2 loss too…..well, we couldn't figure that one out (I was 100% OP) so the coach and I decided it was my body adjusting. This one was easier to swallow then the one when I had a drink.
GOOD LUCK!
