  • Quote: My collarbone is sort of well-defined, but for some reason the area right below it, above the boobs, has lost a lot of padding. It's weird to move around and see my bony sternum in the mirror- blech! lol
I've had well defined collarbones for some time and I don't really mind that but yes, the bony sternum is really off-putting. I used to think that it was only really skinny girls that this happened to but even though I'm still 'overweight' by BMI my sternum is showing through.

  • I think collarbones are sexy. Mine don't show up till I go below 130 lbs.
  • i love, love, loooove my collarbones. i hate my veiny hands, tho, lol. someone mentioned "old lady hands" and that's totally how i feel about them now >.<
  • Eww ok - I just noticed that I see my ribs when I lift my arms. Not gonna lie...that's kinda gross...
  • I love my collarbones and my hip bones...its my ribs that creep me out a bit. I'm starting to see more than just one rib now and when i look in the mirror and move around/twist/stretch..seeing the skin sliding over those bones, its just weird to me lol.
  • i love my all my bones. I remember how excited I was when I first noticed that i had collar bones and a thin neck. I was freaking delighted and telling all my friends. And oh mi gosh when I realized I had HIP bones ....i was like "oh yeah, i got hip bones...oh yeah" I mean i was doing a jig.

    Anyhoo thought I'd share
  • Oh man, I'm pretty scared actually - I have this gland in my neck that is still swollen from when I had glandular fever in like... 2001... it's not dangerous or anything, just a swollen gland that never went down and it's fairly visible if i lean my head to one side - now I'm worried that it's going to stick out really obviously when I lose more weight, and because it's not dangerous or life-threatening, they count removing it as "cosmetic surgery".
  • I don't really have collar bones yet. Just a bit of a dip where the hollow of my throat should be. Can't wait for those babies to be defined!

I do have pokier elbos and bones in my hands, though. And I can see/feel my pelvis when I lie down - can't wait to see it when I'm standing!. I've always been able to feel my shin bone, though - I gain most of my weight around my middle, but my lower legs rock.

What HAS shown up and grossed me out are those bony tendon things behind my knee on the edges. Ew. They're way more defined now, but they feel like they might break! They're kinda gross, but I'm also kinda happy - SO couldn't feel them when I was at 207.

Apparently my butt bones are starting to get uncovered a bit, because I just yesterday landed hard on something and it HURT. Normally I wouldn't have thought much of it.

My knees also bruise a little if I sleep on my side with one on the other. I need a pillow for that. It's not too bad yet, but I'm hoping they get bonier. I don't like pain, but this is great!
