Ange - LOL at the thought of funnel cakes being made out of spiders. Maybe that would be a way to deter people from eating them however.

Annie - Glad you are safe from the weather. How's Tootsie these days?

Petra - Nope Petra, I may have a glass of wine once every few months. I'm having a celiac panel done on Friday. My mom is a celiac and they've ruled out every liver disease they can think of. When I found out what the numbers were I see why they were in such a hurry for bloodwork and a liver ultrasound. But all that came back clean. Anyway, that's my saga with that. How are you liking your fitbit?

slroth - Walking with your doggie is always a good thing. It calms my nerves and makes me slow down a little.

Mostly as I was telling Petra I'm absorbed with my health issues. I am on Day 2 of no Diet Soda. I have also cut out all dairy for now. If I have celiac disease that will cut out the gluten and then I'll be a really cranky heifer. I'm still ridiculously fatigued and now I have the caffeine withdrawal headache too. What a whiner I am today huh? On a positive note, I'm looking a another 2 pound loss hopefully by Saturday.

Too busy to even do anything but say Hi to all! Doing okay here, but have been stressed about some issues (food NOT one of them, thankfully). I was even having chest pain, or reflux....who knows.....last night. Will check back when time allows. Love to all!

ID BigBird—welcome (back). I think you have a great plan to start out walking your dog, even if it's a slow walk. Get that to be part of your routine, and then you can add from there.

Motivated Chickie—sorry about the binge...I hope today is a great day and you move on. A binge now and then isn't the problem...it's when it's frequent. Hang in there.

AnnieDrews—ohhh, sorry to hear about extra stress in your life right now. I hope it clears up for you. In the meantime, take good care of yourself.

Decent day yesterday, and a decent one today. I did go out for lunch with a friend, but I made good choices. I'm sure I had more calories than I need, but fewer than I normally would have had going out. I'm getting ready to take the dog for a long walk, so that'll help.

GRRR! Annie-that funnel cake picture is just not fair! One of my favorite foods. I like 'em best w/o the sugar, though, what a hoot! I think I will probably not have my usualy county fair treat this summer :-(

Wizzie-You asked about Tootsie. She is doing pretty well, though I think there may be a couple of areas where we may have masses returning... It will have to wait for a bit, as I am starting $2000 worth of necessary dental work (root canal, etc.) tomorrow and my car's A/C went out over the weekend ($800-$1000 repair). If the cancer is returning, not sure if we can do about it with her age, etc. Thanks for asking about her.

Annie - great pic, so a bit like a giant donut maybe. I feel educated now. And hungry.... Sorry to hear you're having a bad time. And there's nothing more boring than paying lots of money for the dentist - unless it's paying lots of money for car maintenance. Not good.

Wizzie - good luck with your caffine withdrawal, i think the headaches are relatively short lived, aren't they? I don't like soda myself, but my husband drinks heaps of the diet stuff too so i know how addictive it can be (and i like a couple of coffee/tea drinks a day myself...)

MC - you're going to a dance party? And it's just for a weekend? Well that's not too long a period - i wouldn't stress too much about the food side as you'll work it all off!! You must be mentally in wind-down mode with the little binge-lapse! Maybe you just need to be a bit easy on yourself for a few days(not under-doing it or over-doing it), then enjoy getting more healthy again after the festival?

Er, not got much to contribute myself today, back at work, back to normal life, not much to report, but routine can be good sometimes!

Today was my first day back at the other nursing home today. All these hospital/nurses week celebrations are killing me. And man do I need a vacation. I know it is coming soon but I am really worn out.

I haven't been real motivated to exercise lately. I have to work on that. I think it is part of that worn out thing.

I think I have managed to catch up with everyone! If I missed someone, please accept my apologies! I’m looking at 10 days of school left. I am very ready for summer break. Our big trip is 34 days away and I’m about 9-10 pounds from my goal. Hoping I can get there! If not, I feel thin! My pants today are bagging off my butt! Time to retire them I think! I had my Novasure procedure last week and am very pleased with how well it went. We’ll see if I get the results I hope for. All in all, things are good here.

Good morning. I thought I (or this site) was having technical difficulties, but now I see it's that I was going to the wrong thread.

I'm doing well with avoiding the bad foods, but now it's time to start the calorie counting again. I lost a few pounds, then stopped. Aarrgh! Gotta get some movement on the scale. Been exercising; off to the gym again this morning.

So sorry to everyone who is having troubles in their life right now--I'll try to be more personal later, but now I need to get ready to leave.

Annie: that pic is too cruel! I'm sure you can find someplace to shop for some healthier foods but one treat isn't the end of the world : )

I could really feel it in my legs going up the hill over the bridge yesterday. I'm walking closer to 1.5 miles in the morning...could wait for another bus to get me the rest of the way to work, but why stand and wait 20+ minutes when I can walk it in 10? And I found a ride home at night so I don't have a 2 hour bus ride, can be home in under 30 minutes. So that cuts out almost 3/4 of a mile of walking...I'm making it up in the morning! Working harder on my food choices...easier to do when I'm too broke to go out : ) Looking forward to hitting the farmer's market this weekend, and the pool!

When I've worked the weekend, Thurs always seems to be the hardest day of the week. I seem to hit some kind of wall by thurs. I did exercise last night with my Wii and my little piggy bank turned bronze so that was a nice reward for having made the effort. That means I've finally accumulated 10 hours of total Wii Fit time for those who are not familiar with Wii Fit.

We've been going through a period of lower than average census in the hospital which has been nice. Giving a nice chance to get caught up on things. I hope it continues at least a couple more weeks so I can get those last few discharge summaries done. I'm in the home stretch.

Hello everyone! I'm not even going to attempt to catch up on personals. Everyone seems to be doing well.

I'm still pretty stressed about things and I hate feeling that way. I ALMOST talked myself out of exercising this morning. (I kind of strained my shoulders while mowing last night and they are really sore today.) But I got moving and used the modified extensions during the work-out. Felt good to sweat and I know I would have felt worse if I had let that voice talk me into crawling back in bed. I have been worried about this happening. I am in a habit of exercising and I want to stay in the habit...it is so good for me in so many ways.

I am so thankful for this board, this thread especially. It has helped me more than I can tell you all.

Going to the dentist today to get started on a root canal and two crown preps. Besides the $$$ being spent, I HATE having dental work done. I don't have a phobia or anything, I just hate the sounds/vibration/smells, etc.....maybe I do have a phobia. I am going to pay extra for nitrous, it seems to help a wee bit.

Just wanted to pop in and thank you for the support you shared with me on FB during my little meltdown.

Can't say that I'm over it but I am in a better frame of mind. Most of you here know that I am passionate about two things; kids and animals. Abuse to either just pushes me over the edge.
