  • Hi all.....
Well I'm back again and have just finished reading all the latest posts. There have been quite a few to catch up on, so please forgive me if I forget you. It isn't on purpose.

Lily I am sure that your dh will have no trouble finding work, at least he has 2 months notice and plenty of experience. Ihope that you enjoy your vacation.

Slavika How wonderful that your husband won another 1 dozen golf balls. He must be a good player. I used to play and miss it terribly and am very envious of others. Hope that the lady who took the other balls has rotten luck with them.

Maria I hope that your drive home to Adelaide was a safe and enjoyable one. You sound as if you could cope with anything that was thrown at you, this I admire greatly. You will miss your husband emensely but all the activity leading up to the wedding will compensate this I'm sure.

Peggy I hope that your DIL is OK after her appendectomy and that she is well on the road to recovery. I know what it is like to not drive and this must be very frustrating for both her and your son.

Trudy I am so glad that you enjoyed the Englebert Humperdink concert he has such a mellow voice, he just makes me go weak at the knees. They say that as we get older we don't need as much sleep as we used to, so don't stress too much about it and just do as you feel is right for you.

I am sure that I have forgotten many. Sorry Until next time

    Take care all.

    Ash/Jenye.
  • Peggy, what a bummer that both the kids are laid low by something. There have been times in my life I would not have known what to do without family too. Maybe the taxi-service won't last long. Peggy, what are you talking about, that you are "fluffy?" Haven't you lost a lot of weight?

We went to OKC to babysit our Austin. He is so much fun! We enjoyed that so much. Then Sunday we stayed through lunch and visited with his parents. Today, back to work! What a bummer! My house should be condemned, but I did get the laundry done so we can work in clean clothes. Retirement sounds so good to me today!

Lily, I am so glad you are doing the vacation anyway. You need a respite from work and worry.

Maria, your life just blows me away! Glad you have a young attitude! But, I always say, we do what we have to do.

  • A Happy Day
Hi All: Had a great weekend. Yesterday my dh took me to dinner for my birthday, a day early, as I have a class tonight. Then this a.m. I had an 8:00 appointment with the eye DR. He gave me a clean bill of health, and said in another 2 or 3 months I'll look even better. Then we went out for breakfast, and finally the untimate sacrifice, for someone who hates to shop, my dh went with me to pick out a new dress. So, since there were some great sales, i got a new black and white print dress, and a black skirt with shades of teal and aqua flowers, and a little black top to go with it.

Hi everyone. Hope you have had a great weekend.

    Maria: safe travel.

Lily: Have a nice vacation. When you return, just the right job will be waiting for your dh.

Slavika and Trudy: Good weigh-in this week.

Peggy: I'm sure you were happy for your dh to get home. Did he exchange shirts with any N.Y. firemen?

Glenda: How is work going? Settling into the new routine?

Ashe: It's hard to remember everyone, but we just enjoy reading whatever news we get. I sometimes fudge a bit and just do a general post.

    Talk to you tomorrow. Ann

I am trying very hard to stay within my points.
