  • Sarah, I would not survive the pastizzeria. I would weigh like 400 lbs. and I would probably be ok with it. I think I've decided I want to take some ballet classes again...and I found out that we have a dance co-op where you can take classes for like $35/month which is awesome. I need to do some more research on it. It might have to wait until the end of May though...I feel like I have concerts and rehearsals every weekend from now until the beginning of May, and then in May I'm playing a show for a two week run. This will not be good for food or exercise, but it will be good for my bank account. I guess I'll do the best I can and we'll see what happens.

    Today:
B: 2 boiled eggs and ww toast
L: PBJ on ww and a banana
D: a roast (thank you mom) brown rice and veggies

Exercise: Payday at the bank, which means I'll be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I doubt this really counts.
  • Believe me, there are Maltese people who certainly look like they are tipping the scales at 400, and I'm sure pastizzerias are the reason, considering a pastizzi (pastry filled with ricotta cheese) is about 30c. Malta has the highest diabetes rate in Europe and it's easy to see why. Despite being in the middle of the Mediterranean there are so many people who clearly do not eat in the Mediterranean way!

If Ballet is something you enjoyed in the past I say go for it. It's so great to find exercise you actually enjoy.

    Here's todays -
L: Avacado and prawn salad from a cafe - which I'm sure has given me mild food poisoning. It was gross.
D: Egg fried brown rice with scallions and soy sauce.
S: Small portion of ben and jerry's chocolate frozen yoghurt

Exercise - 30 mins wii and 30 mins walking
  • A good eating day!
    b banana and skim milk
    l south western salad
    s tuna fish /rye crackers
s probably a glass of wine or beer before bed
spent the day with 4 of my grandchildren--much exercise!!
    Have a blessed weekend!
  • I had another pretty good day but my calories were a little higher than I wanted.

B: smoothie with greek yogurt, banana, frozen berries, whey protein, sugar free latte
    S: roasted nuts
L: greek chicken and barley and salad, 2 tangerines,
D: whole grain rotini with chickpeas, feta and tomatoes, glass of white wine.

Looks like I can have a snack or a glass of wine but not both in the same day. I think I'm going to try a little Wii Fit tonight. First night I've felt up to exercise this week.
  • Here's todays -

B: Bowl oat puffs with low fat yoghurt
L: 3 mini wholemeal pittas with houmous
S: Bowl fruit and fibre with low fat yoghurt
D: Wholewheat noodles with egg and vegetables, salt and chilli soya beans

Battling hard not to have a drink tonight but I want the weigh in tomorrow to be a true weight and not a dehydrated post alcohol weight. Instead we're going to the cinema to see Alice in Wonderland and its a late show so the bars will be closed afterwards

Hope everyone is having a great weekend
  • Forgot to post yesterday.

B: Chocolate calorie countdown milk with whey protein, cocoa powder and peppermint extract, sugar free latte
L: chicken salad on a croissant and spring rolls (we had a birthday party) I skipped the birthday cake so I count this as a victory
    S: roasted nuts
D: rotini with chickpeas, feta and tomatoes, glass of white wine.

Scale is still moving in the right direction so I guess I'm doing okay.
  • 3lbs down this week Looks like cutting alcohol for a week did the trick
