Today I'm sleepy...rough night, tossing and turning, but thank GOD I got the heat working. Yay! So cold today... WOOHOOO I'm taking my kittay to the vetay today haha. She loves the vet, hates getting into the carrier. LOVES being AT A PLACE, hates GOING to the place lol. Amazing....

I hope everyone is well. My scale is going downward, yeah I'm weighing myself a bit here and there, not today though. I did horribly with eating yesterday, I even had fries and felt sick afterward. I think...I'm gonna go get a yucca root or squash and just do those in the oven when I crave fries. And I learned that garlic sauce from your local Chinese restaurant has 600 calories PER cup. GOODNESS! That is a lot, so no more of that for me! BANNED!

I'm here just dealing with computer issues think it's finally taken care of. Had to buy a new hard drive and sound card. This week didn't lose any or gain so happy with that. It was a pretty stressful week and I didn't eat as good as I should. Got no workouts in and I hate that. Mike turned in paperwork for the YMCA we get it free from his work. So once we know all if good with it here I COME to work out. I'm nervous about going and taking boys because they love to excaspe but they told us it will be fine they have security up and know what to do so I'm going to relax and go without with my honey. I've been home schooling but we're really considering putting the girls in school it's alot of work dealing with schooling and the boys with their Autism. Boys miss cut off for schooling this year not sure if they will go next year or what have a whole year to decide. So happy we're getting Direct Tv tomorrow we have cable but it stinks here can't get any of the hockey games. So we got Center Ice with Direct Tv so ready for it.

Hi gals, resurfacing finally. Hubby is home from the hospital and doing much better. A word of advice: If you have diabetes take it SERIOUSLY.

With Sean in the hospital, I was able to eat like a saint - yogurt and fruit from home for breakfast and hospital cafeterias are aces in lean meats, veggies and NO FLAVOR (also called no fat, no sodium, low carb). I didn't get all my water in, but I'm not gonna stress about it - I'm doing better now that I'm back at work.

I missed the gym all week, and yes, I really MISSED it. I will try to get in some exercise this evening when I get home, but Sunday I'm going out to a new gym to take the whole family swimming before the football game, so that'll be fun!

Anyway, all that's to say that somehow I lost 3.5 lbs this week. I guess stress looks good on me? *laugh*

So I'm looking forward to catching back up with you all. I've got about a week of posts to catch up on

Good morning ladies...today was weigh in day and i am happy to say that i only gained .2 lbs this week which i am very happy about considering i have been sick all week and unable to exercise and my eating hasnt been the greatest but yesterday i got back in the swing of things and i am back to my regularly scheduled program which means tomorrow i will be back to working out and hoping i can still meet my goal for 10/18 which is only 7 lbs away so im gonna really try hard to meet that goal.

keeperofthehome4 - I did a stint working out at the Y, once I got over their tiny towels and showering/changing in the locker roomitis I had a really great time and especially enjoyed working with weights!

Jacquie668 susannahc- I always meant to mention this, but your pictures are lovely, I've kind of been thinking of them as an inspiration for weight loss(I hope that's not weird, I'm not a stalker, promise! ) I just take terrible chin free pictures! I think it has inspired me to post of photo of me for my stuff, I shall have to take one this weekend as I have been avoiding photo evidence of my weight for quite awhile now!

If you have diabetes or have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic, take this VERY seriously. My husband is a Type 2 diabetic who has not been even remotely managing his diabetes. Sure he took his Metformin every day, but he never tested his blood sugar with the home monitor, and he didn’t watch what he ate, and the worst sin of all, he drank rum and cokes - several a day. Well, that all caught up with him and we spent 3.5 days in ICU becuase his blood sugar was spiking at 370 and not responding to insulin. Not to mention his liver functions were compromised and all the fun that goes with high blood sugar: blurry vision, panicky-anxious feelings, confusion, nausea, stomach cramps, general all-over aches and pains, and the list goes on.

It was a scary couple of days, I’ll tell you, and I think it was enough to get him to take it seriously - now we’re counting carbs and fats together as he relearns how to eat. He has a pharmacy bill that’s a mile long for all the drugs they’ve got him now trying to correct and heal all the damage done. And I’m certain we’re going to put the son or daughter of an endocrinologist through college.

Anyway - I just wanted to say this in case there was someone out there who was pre-diabetic and struggling to alter their eating habits to avoid diabetes. Take it seriously. Do something about it. Don’t wait til you’re sitting in an ER to realize that you had all the power to make the right choices, but didn’t.

Just got back from the vet, my kitty is a senior cat, maybe about 14-15 years old. She has never had many health problems, but now she is starting down that line you know, older cat, things start coming up. So, the vet said she heard a heart murmur, so that was bad news. Me being the strong one in my relationship I just took the news like a pro and discussed things with the vet. My boyfriend was clearly upset and such. So, we are waiting for blood tests and then going to decide what to do in terms of a diagnoses and things. She still runs around, swats our legs, eats and drinks, is a brat attack...but she is getting older now.

So, yeah it is upsetting. She is an important member of our family so you know it is a moment I knew would come, you know the day where they go "blah blah blah senior cat blah blah blah." A little upset about it, shed a few small sensitive tears when i got home lol...i can't help it. I spent the entire visit with a cat literally hugging me and me kissing her head. She was very distressed this visit, a first really, and just kept coming up to me and literally hugging me. Like one of those gorilla babies or something.

So, yeah...she still is rocking, but *nods*...

Had a smoothie when I got home, not very hungry today and extremely tired. Skipping my workout, I'm just really tired. I don't think I'm getting a good nights rest. :/ I just keep waking up and tossing and turning and the night before last I got up at 2:30 and was up until 6ish. So, hmmmmm...maybe I need to figure my sleep out. I don't remember being this tired unless I was hormonal or something. Makes me wonder.

Added P.S. lostbutstilltrying - I was so wrapped up in my above things that I forgot to post thank you and *HUGS* Photos photos is a bit hard for me, well the full body ones, but i have I think one that is kind of blurry. i'm not a good photo taker and just figured out how to use the darn timer like a few months ago lol. I'll probably have more photos up in a few months . I get distracted lol.

Yes, I am enjoying car ownership again. We seem to be trying to do 6 months worth of errands all in the first week. I'm exhausted. So I decided to move furniture today. Have no idea why.

My sons ex-gf did text me yesterday..all she said was she and my sno are broke up and she has decided to not persue that kind of relationship with him anymore and that it is nothing against me. IT IS HORRIBLE WATCHING MY SON BE IN PAIN! She holds all the cards..and she knows it. So I had a long talk with my son yesterday..he thinks she is serious..shes not comming back. He said he is going to try and focus on school and getting a job...and being a dad when Ayva comes. She told me next weekend she will go get fabric with me...but I have a feeling she wont. I have got to learn to let it go..and just be there for my son. People don't realize when they break up or divorce..it affects everyone not just them. This si something I never wanted to experience. ;(

With my surgery being next monday..I am going to try and get as much of the house done as possible this weekend.

Good Morning ladies...i am feeling pretty good today still a little congested but every day i feel better and better and im really excited to report that I did my 3 mile walk today!!! this is a BIG step for me cause i have always been the type of person that would say "well, i havent worked out in 4 days i should just forget it and since my eating has been out of whack i will just give up my diet" THAT IS HOW I USE TO THINK!!! but not this time..IM BACK!!! Im back on track with my eating and back to exercising as of this morning and this really shows ( at least to me) how committed i am to this lifestyle and getting rid of this weight that i have been carrying for so long!

sorry to ramble i am just soo happy today and excited that i had this accomplishment of having a bump in the road and being able to overcome it and then continue on in my journey! im sorry i have to post these to show how excited i am...

Good evening ladies...im feeling wonderful today i got my 3 mile walk in plus i cleaned house for 2 hours also so im feeling really good and im going to give myself a mini-goal this week again that i am not going to touch the scale until friday! and hopefully this time i will have a better reading as compared to last time but i got TOM last time but i definately am not expecting it to come so i will be in for a surprise come friday when i weigh in! Well, not much else going on.

Kayleystar...congrats on your 3 lb loss! you go girl!

Hello everyone. Well I weighed in today and had my measurements taken. I'm down another 4.5lbs and 3 more inches. Woohoo! Today also marks the day that I have now officially lost 50lbs here in South Korea. Yeah!! More to go for sure, but I'm definitely off to a great start for me.

Thanks Jacqui for missing me! Sorry about your cat, but he sems to still be well if he's playing, our dog is 14-ish & he can't run or get up very fast so like you I'm sad, knowing he's not going to be here for much longer.xxxxxxxxx
I had a bad week, gained & then got a call my Dad is in hospital with a heart attack, he's had so many problems, thrombosis (several times) lung infections etc. I'm waiting to hear from my Mum as to whether we ought to drive down (they live a few hour's drive away from the rest of the family) though I think my middle sister may go as she drives & her daughters are old enough to look after themselves & their Dad (he is a neanderthal, lol!). Hubby was on nights last night so we are stuck for a few hours anyway, I can't drive and waffles in the breadbin are looking tempting BUT I know they won't help so I WILL resist.
Gotta go & hang washing out, hugs EVERYONe, I don't have time to 'say' something to you all but think of you all.

Voodoo - Sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he is on the road to recovery. *HUGS* As for your dog, it is sad...but I guess that had we not given these little guys and gals a fabulous home they would have had a horrible life. I mean my cat wasn't doing well at the shelter years ago. Now she is "retiring." Maybe the gain is just stress related. That could be, I often retain water when I'm stressed out or emotional!

Cyn - I know the situation is tough. She is very young, so perhaps it is better that this is happening now and not later. Maybe she can examine her feelings more and decide what is best for her, but you never know what will be in the future. It isn't fair on your Son or you though, so perhaps she will realize this one day. The future isn't set. If she is serious and never going to commit to a relationship with your Son, meaning if she decided this a few years from now after they were already in a family situation, I would think that would be even more negative and hard. But then again they may work it out at some point and be happy. I hope so! Hang in there!

Kayleystar - Woohooo on the victories! Haha I just realized yesterday that I'm a size 10 in the undies and I was like "when did that happen?" so now I have to buy all new lol. Oy....lol While you like the vampires I'm all into the zombies lol. Well I love vampires too, seen almost every vampire movie out there even the black and white ones. lol. I'm a horror buff, love it! Lately I've been watching Asian Horror, love it, the vampire movies on that side are really interesting. Anything with the Asian Horror Genre is usually mixed with their own culture, mythology, superstitions and what not so it brings kind of spin to things that is interesting. But it also means that most of the ghost stories are all long haired girls that are just creeptastic! lol.

HeatherB - Woohoo on your victories! Food for thought...last year when I started my journey I really struggled, and I still do, and I'm not one of those people who "simply decided to" lose weight and then lost a gazillion pounds. lol I'm one of those people who struggle. My struggles are a bit different now and last year I really made that transition from dieting to lifestyle and I know it was totally worth every bump and struggle I had. This year I have a completely different attitude, still struggling lol. I think you're doing great, I think we all are. At some point you're going to get to that door where you realize that you're not the same person that you once were, perhaps you're already there. Yay for lifestyle change and commitment!

Last night I tried to go shopping for a new top...well that was a bust. I didn't have much time as it was late, so I didn't buy anything. I made an error in judgment and went to JCPenney, which shocked the heck out of me. I don't know, I don't remember JCPenney being so just...disorganized. I was amazed at how rundown this one was and there were just a sea of clothes, barely organized...I just stood there floored. Then some rude man almost ran me down! Like he was walking with his friend taking up the entire walkway and then he wouldn't move, he expected me to move, so I stood there and he literally bumped me out of the way. Can you believe that??? I think I'll stick with the Macys from now on, which is in the same dinky mall. I'm just a bit baffled at the state of the JCPenneys. I don't remember it being like that in the Midwest, but perhaps I'm just out of the loop or this particular one is just crap. Wow.

Anyhow, I dunno. I don't think I'm a snob, but when I walk into a store I expect sections. The Macys I went to has everything split up and nice and tidy lol. The Avenue always splits things up and so on. I walk in to JCPenney and my mouth dropped. There was a hint of organization, but I couldn't find the plus sizes. There were casual mixed with formal. Shirts just hanging off of the racks and bras all over the floor... :O lol I touched a rack and it almost fell over...lol. Yeah like I'm gonna shop there lol. No way. It is bad enough when I go to Target I get like a "nook" for my size and it is mixed in with maternity wear lol. So, I can't depend on them either. I guess I'll have to stick with better stores that you know don't want the racks to fall over onto their customers lol.

I still need a shirt for tomorrow...blah. BAH! I'll try Macys tonight. We'll see.
